So there are rumblings that the current world situation will lead to lj going away or at least being hidden away. So I think I will finally transfer my back-catalog here over to DW.

Not that this makes a huge difference as I've been posting primarily on DW anyway for a while now (mostly on my review blog admittedly over my anything else blog). But I thought I would say something before I flip the next switch on this process.

So in the last few weeks I’ve gotten a string of some anonymous comments on TTESIT apparently from a rec (or more than one) of the story or the series on tumblr. And while I love the feedback, and it’s been a boost to getting the muses thinking seriously again each time (especially this last one, since my muses do feel like they’ve finally accounted for most of the characters going in to the next installment), I keep wondering about the rec(s) that got people there.

Obviously getting feedback is better than not, and I can definitely enjoy that, but there are people out there reccing my story and I don’t know what they’re saying to get people interested. I have no idea how to find it out and it...doesn’t bother me exactly (aside from being a symptom of the dying status of lj in favor of tumblr) but it kind of does just a little.

Let’s see a quick rundown of my week in TV.

And a random bit of confusion:

Have you ever gotten one of those weird comments that says the person was recommended your fic but they don’t say where? And they commented anonymously so you can’t really ask them very effectively? And no matter how nice the praise was you’re wondering what people are saying out there about your stuff and you’re not seeing it.

1) I have a couple tiny brush-ups to do on my SFBB story but I'm all set to post it on Friday. I'm going to try and have the posts up but private early and then just public them and post the master post on Friday so it may or may not gum p your f-list. But for those interested there will be Elena/Elijah fun times. In case you haven't read the fic series and want to before the next part comes out series post is over here

2) My 100 drabbles of summer...is progressing but not as well as I'd like, several of the prompts just aren't connecting with me and m muses don't seem to have enough ideas. So more than a third of the way through the writing time I'm barely a quarter done, I want to do better but I can't seem to find the drabbling muses.

3) What I NEED to do is figure out what I'm doing for B5 love month. I have a vid I want to finish, but none of my muses are really in a mood to do stuff it seems. They may be getting the drabbles from 100 drabbles that are B5 related.

4) And finally a meme, because I like memes and haven't done enough of them lately.

Name me a character and I will tell you:

- Why I love them or why I wish they'd go die in a fire.
- My OTP for the character
- My favorite gen relationship with this character.
- An unpopular opinion about this character.
- One thing I wish would [have] happen[ed] with this character in canon.
- An idea I have for the character that I haven't written yet/won't ever write for whatever reason

I seem to be feeling in need of a project...aside from the multitude of fanfics I keep meaning to work on, or the review project that’s more or less on hiatus, or a couple other things I had intentions of making projects of...

Anyway here’s what seems to be wanting my attention:
1) Re-tagging old posts with more useful tags and a better system over all.
2) Not mutually exclusive with option 1 (but somewhat more likely to get done if I’m not trying to do everything at once), but going through old posts/comments to find fic and semi-fic pieces that aren’t on my master list.
3) Declaring a fic amnesty week (or longer depending on how long I feel like going with it) of posting unfinished fic that are unlikely ever to be returned to or I just never felt like posting before because I didn’t think they worked.

But I can’t figure out whether any of them are great ideas or just passing notions of projects...

-It was a bit of shock last week to have the f_march_madness stuff start showing up again, it seems like last year's just ended, or maybe just the butthurt feelings it always stirs up finally went away and now it's going to come back for another round (plus, for good or ill, I'm about out of shows it inspired me to try).

-So I decided to sign up for scifibigbang and now it looks like crossbigbang is having another round and I definitely have ideas for that set up too. But I pretty much never finish any of the big bangs I sign up for so I don't know that even one is a good idea let alone adding more.

-So in the mean time, it's meme time.

So I went about watching some s2 TVD last night in the continued hopes of sparking my muses and I think a few have drifted back, at least a couple of plotty ones that want to toy with the plot I had started for the next fic in the TWTS/TSTWA series (that still needs a name, but my naming things muses are always among the ones with the shortest presences). But it also gave me a couple things I felt like mentioning:

PS. GOD DAMN IT LJ, I WANT TO HAVE MY CLASSIC POST EDITOR WINDOW, GIVE IT BACK TO ME NOW. FOR A WHILE THERE YOU LET ME CHANGE IT BACK (WHICH GOT FRUSTRATING ANYWAY THAT IT WOULDN’T REMEMBER THAT I FUCKING ***WANT*** THAT VIEW) AND NOW I CAN’T FIND THE ABILTY TO CHANGE IT AROUND.

Now that it actually is Halloween I'm joining the houses of this thing (and going around to others):

In honour of All Hallow's Eve, I'm inviting trick-or-treaters to my 'door.' Comment "trick-or-treat" to this post and...well, you know the drill. Treats can be anything that strikes my fancy (pics of fave actors or pairings, one sentence fics, graphics, a few words why I'm glad to have you on my flist, etc. etc.).

Apparently when I don't feel like writing and do my (for now nightly) review project update, I still need an outlet for my...muses adjacent voices.

Anyway, wheatear linked to/is doing 28 days of doing shipping wrong and I started to think I would. But I realized pretty quickly that a lot of my ships don't quite fit in with that one. So I started one of my own.

I'm open to suggestions for changes at this point but how about:
