Hi everybody. I hope everyone has had a good holiday season. Obviously I haven't been posting much of late, but with shows starting back up I'm sure I'll get into the swing of things again soon. It wasn't even a particularly eventful holiday season (slightly above our standard holiday travel schedule but not by much).

So we're back from seeing family now so I need to get caught up on lj (I had things I wanted to respond to before I left but didn't get to, now it's a bit late but I might still do it).

While it was an okay time, we *did* have quite a bit of fun, but things also kind of suck.

So anyway, hope you all had a good holiday (whatever version of it you may or may not embrace).

1) Finally my NaNo muses have taken off the last couple days and now I get to write people sitting around talking for a while, I love writing people sitting around talking.

1.5) Unless I *really* kick it into high gear there's no way I'm going to finish as I just got over 11k on day 20, but I no longer feel like I'm putting in a completely pathetic try.

2) Is there new TVD this week with it being Thanksgiving and all?

3) Happy Thanksgiving, even if it's just a random Thursday for you hope it's a good one.

4) Maybe once NaNo's over my muses will stick around and I'll get back to my TVD fic series. I'm starting to want to get those specific muses back, I miss my little story that keeps getting bigger and bigger. I have tried to write a few post episode reaction fic but they rarely get finished before those fleeting muses are gone, maybe at the next hiatus I'll try and finish off a couple that will be completely jossed by then...if they aren't already.

So here’s a bit of a story. We thought the local fireworks started at 9, as we can watch them from the end of our driveway it wasn’t really a problem that they didn’t start til 9:30, but it gave me a chance to appreciate something: this year people are paying attention to the fire ban. There’s been one the last couple 4th’s but usually there’s a few people around us who either didn’t get the memo or decided to ignore it. This year not so much; I guess half the Front Range being on fire will put a dampener on even most of the scofflaws. I’ll have to keep an ear out the rest of the night to see if it lasts.

Anyway happy 4th (even to people where it’s just your average Wednesday).

So back from traveling, but we had people over last night so I *still* haven't seen the Doctor Who Christmas special and by the time they left I was tired and didn't think that was a great time to be watching a new (but one of the last) episodes) of DW and my room sucks for watching TV in the daylight so now I have to wait until tonight. If I weren't going out of town for New Years maybe I'd just wait and watch them both at that point but it looks like I am going out of town for New Year's so yeah.

Had lots of fun with family, had considerably less fun with the weather and the hours in the car, ate *way* too much, have lots of new clothes (I'm tempted to take and upload a picture of my new shoes next to the pair they're replacing so you all can understand how badly I needed new shoes). Have no idea if the Doctor Who novel my sister got me will be we'll see.

Got very little writing done for my current project and the hours of listening to music in the car didn't actually give me that many vid ideas sadly (a few but there have been times I've come back from the trip with vid ideas for like 20 songs, this time only maybe 5).

I'm skimming my f-list, but avoiding any potential spoilers for DW, maybe tomorrow I'll skim it again for that.
