1) To Weather the Storm looks like it’s going to be the start of a series, I’ve written the first draft of a sequel story and am working on ideas for what to do next (some of it’s obvious, since my muses have decided there needs to be more plot in what was already porn with plot, but I need to work out what all will be in it).

vd_kink continues to supply me with inspirations, not that I was at a loss for them anyway (anyone remember how I had that post 3x17 fic I wanted to write and haven’t done anything with since about the time 3x18 aired?)
Well, I want to talk about a couple of the ones I’m trying to write.( Why can't I just write easy PWP for kink fills? )
3) Things I'm not doing: working on my 100 drabbles of summer (I think I have like 4 done). Also not vidding, but vid muses are starting to get antsy and telling me I really DO want to do some of that (not that I'm arguing with them, just haven't been feeling the drive).
However, here’s the second draft of the unfulfilled shipping meme. Better? Worse? Still needs work?

May. 5th, 2012 04:06 pmSo I finally settled in to do some serious editing on my Elena/Elijah smut fic I've been working on last night and today. wheatear can vouch for the fact that I have some serious insecurity issues regarding this fic that's made it difficult for me to deal with this stage of the writing. As delayed as it's been already and as much as I had to battle off my insecurities get this far with the project I probably won't have her go over the edited version too, and just hope I've addressed most of the issues she had with the first draft and not created some new messes.
I've still got half the fic to get through but now I'm worrying about the titling of it. Titles aren't easy things for me so I'll probably deal with another bout of inner critic when it comes to that.
On another note, I really want to get back to vidding, but I just can't seem to find the inspiration. Or at least nothing that interests me AND that I have the clips to do what I want with a song. My vid muses used to be so much more active; I should take some comfort in my writing muses being around but I miss my vid uses too.

A few things
Jan. 29th, 2012 02:30 pm1) I had really good plans of writing this weekend, so far I've come closer to vidding (in that I'm prepping some stuff for future vidding). I can't even blame the muses for this one because they're around, I just can't seem to make myself do anything with them.
2) A quote from my sister "So I watched the first half of Doctor Who season 6; it's really not good." I haven't gotten to season 6 yet myself (I will one day...probably) but that's a further reason not to. Sis isn't even that big a DW fan to begin with and even she's disappointed by s6.
3) I thought I'd check in regarding my Buffy rewatch before I hit the Angelus arc.
( Spoilers from a show that ended almost ten years ago )

Nov. 6th, 2011 04:45 pmOkay, NaNo is a bust this year. My heart was never in it this year, so much so that I don't even feel bad about calling it a bust early on. But seeing as I've written anything maybe two days so far and only once for NaNo...yeah it's not happening.
I do have some writing I need to do forjourneystory, and heads up that I'm going to be looking for a beta for that soon. I think what writing muses I have need to be focused there.
But mainly, stating tomorrow I'm declaring it JeViMaMo (Jedi Vid Making Month). I miss viding as much as I used to, so I'm going to call up the vidding muses and we're going to spend our time on that. I'm going to try and do 50-60 minutes of vids in 30/31 days (I haven't decided on the exact rules). Those'll be first drafts mostly so I still have to polish them before posting anything but expect vid posts in the next couple months.
...Now if only I could make the writing-about-vids muses do the write-ups for my flasback commentaries.

Feb. 7th, 2011 09:41 amI think I'm going to like competing in Last Author Standing competitions. It's giving me me an excuse to a) write fic b) write fic of reasonable length rather than my usual epics c) write fic for fandoms I normally don't.
Okay so the fanvid one only goes so far as a) make vids, but I like that too.

Feb. 28th, 2010 09:17 pmSo after a pretty good while away, I'm finally stretching out those vidding muscles (I tried to wake up the writing muses yesterday and they...sort of showed up). Oh WMM, keep right on being super annoying so I really don't know for sure how everything's working until the end. It's annoying but I cope with it...mostly.
The bigger reminder, that I HATE musical intros/interludes. Just plain music without words isn't my thing particularly when vidding. The vid I made last month forlycannoir didn't really have all that much of that and the intro I ran dialog over (even when I think it's appropriate for the vid a part of me thinks it's I'm taking the easy route on it). I suck at judging how long things should run without lyrics and went through about four drafts of the opening 15 seconds. The fact that I ended up with it about what it started out looking like in my head is just...awkward since I took such a round about way to get there.
I'm sure I've done this rant before, especially to those of you I sometimes chat with about vid making, but I needed to get it out there. Plus it means I at least got one more journal entry in this month.

Dec. 13th, 2009 06:30 pmAfter being worried I was going to race my way through the BBH fics, it turns out I'm reading them v.e.r.y. s.l.o.w.l.y. I started out okay, read the first story in a two or three days, and then I kind of stalled. I'm really liking the second story I'm reading but I'm really being slow about it. However in both cases I'm being good and leaving behind a string of comments (I'm often bad at that on fics, but as I modded this challenge I really want to be responsible about leaving feedback.
I've been poking at a couple fic projects since I finished that one, but not a lot to show for it. I've finally gotten back to poking a vidding too, but it's not coming together very quickly.
So I'm also curious about how people do their decorating for the holidays so...

Where has my vidding muse been this week? I fully expected to be able to update my vid series this weekend but I got almost nothing done. Maybe new RH tonight will bring back the vidding drive; I hope so, because I really want to do continue this.
