So yeah, Merry Christmas everyone (I'm a little early for me to be saying it but I may not have time tomorrow). Whether that means the religious bit of it or just a good time to spend with family and friends, the sentiment is the same (since I fall in the later category myself).
So I actually have like no Christmas spirit this year. I'm not feeling Grinchy or anything, or even all that Scroogey, but I'm just feeling apathetic to the whole deal. I want people around me to be happy but my energy level for the whole thing sucks.
Ironically it's my mom who remembered that BBCA would be showing the Doctor Who Christmas special on Christmas (of all the wonders), and she only watches the show sporadically (in the course of the talk we realized she hadn't really watched the show since I loaned her seasons 1&2 on DVD and she's not sure she even watched all of those eps, though she's also seen a few eps s3 and s4 to go with it). But if we can find BBCA on my grandma's cable we might watch it tomorrow. I didn't go into the fact that I really don't care that much any more, it would still be something to do if we can pull it off.
Oh BBCA, why couldn't you have done this in years past when I a) cared about the show and b) cared about Christmas? Not that we'll probably be able to anyway, but I would have felt something more than apathy about that state of affairs.
So Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays again to anyone who bothered to read my wallowing.
