wheatear linked to/is doing 28 days of doing shipping wrong and I started to think I would. But I realized pretty quickly that a lot of my ships don't quite fit in with that one. So I started one of my own.
I'm open to suggestions for changes at this point but how about:
30 days of unfulfilled shipping
1. Favorite ship from a currently airing show you know will never be
2. Favorite ship from a finished show that never got to be.
3. Favorite ship the writers keep/kept ship teasing but clearly would never develop.
4. The ship with the most annoying ship teasing even though you shipped them.
5. The ship where you ship them because you hate their canon love interests.
6. The ship where you ship them in spite of liking their canon love interests
7. Favorite slash ship between canonically straight characters.
8. Favorite unrequited love story.
9. The ship that is still your favorite even though they broke up.
10. The ship you can’t believe the writers broke up.
11. The ship you can’t believe the writers haven’t put together yet.
12. The ship you just can’t believe the writers don’t see the perfection of.
13. The ship with the most wasted potential.
14. The ship you hope the writers never develop/are glad they didn’t because they would ruin it.
15. The ship you shipped until the writers did put them together and ruined it.
16. The ship you don’t want to get together before the end of the show, because you know they could never last while the show is running.
17. Favorite ship that you know would be a trainwreck but need them to get together anyway.
18. The ship you want to hook up briefly but know wouldn’t work as a couple.
19. Favorite ship you that think resolving the UST would kill for you.
20. Favorite ship where resolving the UST might just kill you with joy.
21. Ship that would be your favorite if they’d resolved the UST years ago but annoys you by being drawn out.
22. Favorite ship between minor characters that canon doesn’t address.
23. Favorite flash in the pan ship that never stood a chance.
24. Favorite episodic love interest you wish canon hadn’t forgotten about.
25. Favorite ship where people accuse you of pairing the spares.
26. Love triangle (or more) that you know exactly how it should end even if the writers don’t.
27. Love triangle (or more) that would best be resolved by the characters embracing polyamory.
28. Ship you will read anything about because there’s so little.
29. Characters you just want to see get a happy ending, whether or not it’s in your preferred pairing.
30. Anything else you didn’t get to discuss.
