Okay, so thanks to recently finding myself obsessed with TGWTG.com it's lead me to thinking there are some gaps in my childhood nostalgia. I wasn't allowed to watch a lot of TV as a kid so a lot things most of those folks reference as things they grew up on weren't really part of my childhood.

Okay, this is all well and good, maybe a bit late to give things like X-men cartoons a chance, but whatever. Maybe I'll end up wishing I'd been able to watch them as a kid maybe mot, maybe I'll think it's better I watched them as an adult. I can't say.

Because at 28 I've managed to get myself obsessed with a show I wrote off at age 12 as not worth my time. Damn you, Linkara, why did you have to make me nostalgic for a show I didn't even LIKE as a kid?

So lj still seems to require three refreshes for a page to load correctly, but that's better than it has been I suppose. This is not a good move lj, get it fixed.

So, maybe it's time I gave in and got myself a deamwidth account in anyone has a spare invite code, and if y'all could let me know who you are over there so I can find people again. I'd like the keep lj as my primary online local but it this keeps up...

Also, you might think that the lower amounts of lj-access might mean I had spent my time working on my various writing projects or finishing ADWD but not really. Still only about half done with Dance (I have ~feelings~ about some of the plot things okay?) and no writing. Why? Because I ended up getting kind of addicted to to That Guy With the Glasses, especially his Nostalgia Critic stuff although the guy who does Masterpiece Fanfic Theater is pretty awesome.

Hee, looks like TWoP has changed their main page Game of Thrones pic from one of Ned to one of Tyrion. It amuses me okay?

Not quite the way I've been amused all season reading the unspoiled speculation page, but TWoP/GoT have amused me. To go with the show just being awesome anyway.

So, as the subject line says, I'm back from vacation. Had fun (though even on March I'm not a fan of the weather in Phoenix), didn't write a thing (boo), and am ready for the real baseball season to start (go Rockies).

I'm not going to do a real comprehensive scroll back through my f-list, but if people have something they think I should see, let me know.

Right now I'm feeling sleepy since I had to be up fairly early for he plane ride back so doubt I'll stay up too late (only late afternoon so far though)...we'll see anyway

So yeah, Merry Christmas everyone (I'm a little early for me to be saying it but I may not have time tomorrow). Whether that means the religious bit of it or just a good time to spend with family and friends, the sentiment is the same (since I fall in the later category myself).

So, the last few days my muses finally decided to show up and start writing stuff. I got a little bit done on my HN/FoB AU that I've been working on for ages, but these day's I'm working on that one on my mom's computer and guess what, she's actually been using it. So I've mainly been working on my Daniel/Rose story for crossbigbang.

Yes crossbigbang hasn't started yet (and no info on when it will just that it will happen again), but I checked last year's rules and they said then it was okay to start early and after mapping the story out I figured 50k was a conservative estimate for the story so starting early, good idea. Since I started writing I'm thinking 80k might be conservative and I'm still not very far into the story. Even if the challenge doesn't start until like after New Year's I'll be lucky if I can finish it.

And what's my reaction to seeing this pattern? WRITE MORE, keep adding scenes and chapters to the expected length. PLUS I still want to do NaNo next month with totally different story writing. AND I know my muses are never this well behaved for very long (although they and I are enjoying them being on the ball now).

Yeah, I may be crazy.

I'm already asking myself why I asked to get into this challenge but we'll see if I can pull anything off (although I could almost as easily thrown my hat in the ring to do some fic for the doctor_rose_fix ficaton I suppose, we'll see if there's any crossover). But sign up I did and now I'm going to try and write or vid a bit for it.

As if I didn't have enough fandom projects on the back burner.
