So we’re back to TVD again.

So in place of doing one for the review project, I managed to watch the director’s cut of the Originals pilot and somehow I think my feelings on this are even more mixed. Oh I’m going to be watching it, but I think I was hoping this would be a noticeable improvement and it wasn’t really.

I can’t decide if I want to review something tonight, but in honor of another 100 drabbles of summer round I thought I might actually post what I got done of last year’s challenge, which was a grand total of 8 drabbles (after I finished in 2011). I’m already further along than that for this year but wouldn’t give high odds of finishing; it’s very much a maybe. But obviously better than last time, even if so far it's pretty TVD heavy this round.

Okay, let’s do a TVD ep tonight. With somewhat less s4 bitching...maybe

( TVD: 1x02: The Night of the Comet )

So I said just yesterday that I was fighting with this section of my big bang fic and thought ‘I’m not going to make it to writing smut this time am I?’ Well turns out I can completely change my game plan inside 24 hours because suddenly today I was like ‘No this totally needs to lead to sexy times and hey here’s a bunch of works to move us in that direction.’

Now I’m not so worried about making word count, and I kind of think making a decision on that front is helping me have a clearer goal for how to keep writing. Still I’d like to have the full rough draft done in the next week or so (I want to have time to go over it on my end before the rough draft is truly due, then I can still give my lovely beta a month for us to polish it) and I’m not quite sure I’ll manage to write that quickly. Guess we’ll see, if the muses keep playing along I’d say chances are...okay

(I kind of think my Elena and Elijah muses were tired of me writing angsty dialog (especially since Id written them a few extra conversations I've since moved out) and wanted to make out so said ‘screw it let’s just do it.’)

P.S. I'm also finally making real notes rather than just mental ones about backstory elements that are eventually going to come into play. All the muses were being happy today at least.

So...should it creep me out that I have a much better, easier, and more fun time writing Klaus being a gross evil creeper than trying to write Stefan and Damon as the sort of people you would give the time of day to?

Because good god am I having an awesome time writing Klaus scenes into my E/E fic, except now I need him to leave so I can get on with the E/E fallout.

(Actually I don’t think it says anything aside from the fact that I find Klaus much more interesting as a gross evil creeper than I do in his current show form and far far more interesting that the Salvatores. I don’t find it nearly as unsettling as how easily I can get in the head of Guy of Gisborne.)

So I haven’t had a writing update in a while and I think I’ll do one.
