So, given that there are rumblings of lj going away (for a while or for good) due to the current world situation, I am probably going to join the ranks of people backing up their old journals into DW. I probably should have done it a while ago anyway since I do even less with my lj than dw. I don't know that this will be noticeable to the few people who follow me, I've never bothered with doing this before, but I thought I would give a heads up before I did it.

Also when I fell off of doing Snowflake this year I kind of thought I would actually try posting a bit more on this blog. I hadn't been doing that, so this is also kind of my 'I haven't posted anything here in a while' post. There isn't anything particularly interesting to report; battling muses (both the ones who want to hide and the somewhat over-zealous ones), watching/reviewing Buffy, not wanting to pay attention to the real world stuff lest my anxiety kick into an extra gear I'm not in the mood to deal with.

Because I use this journal so infrequently (especially until the last couple years) it has kept slipping my mind that I should bother listing my interests. But, maybe I would use it more frequently if I thought people might find me by interest (mostly fandom), so maybe I should.

Then I thought that I should expand this project, so now I have a list of things to do. It’s not a long list, but here’s what I did. I’m sure it’s not a complete list of interests, but it’s a few that are worth starting with.

Update my interests + profile at large
Update tori_reviews interests
Make sure fic master post is up to date

Alright, I will poke my head out of my little tiny bubble and do at least some of this year's snowflake challenge.

Hello, my name is jedi_of_urth, but you can call me Tori if you want, I'm not too picky. I've been lurking on the edges of various fandoms for years so some of you might have encountered me before, but no shame if you haven't or have forgotten all about me, I've been even more on the outskirts of late.

Part of that is that I never quite made the leap off livejournal and that has remained where I'm more likely to post if I just have something on my mind. If you poke around my dreamwidth account you'll find it's most my fic journal so far. Maybe one day I'll get around to moving more stuff over; if I have more people I want to interact with here that might be a reason.

But for a while I've been focusing on my side blog tori_reviews where I review TV shows. In 2020 I focused on short run series, and this year is shaping up to be Star War/Marvel heavy; in fact I just posted my preparatory thoughts on Clone Wars, so if you want to come with me on that journey it's a good time to join me. It would be nice if I wasn't always talking into the void...it just hasn't stopped me yet.

(I'm pretty sure I come off as sulky here, but who isn't a little sulky after this last year?)

I'm far from shy about my fandom opinions, so if there's anything you want to know go ahead and ask.

Dear (very small) f-list,

My flashback video posts obviously have been very slow coming out, I think this has a lot to do with thinking about old vids makes me sad that my vidding muses have been more or less absent for a while now. However, my fic muses have been active and I don't think I'll put much if any commentary in them (meaning even less work) so I'm going to start reposting all my fanfic to DW. This is me warning you in advance that it *may* clog up you reading page if I get into a real groove. But hey, makes it easy if you want to read the stuff I wrote in the past.

Including what I can dig up of my old Buffy fanfic. Stuff is ten years and at least four hard drives, and to mention half a dozen fandoms, ago; so it's only what I can still find on the internet. Could be embarrassing to revisit, but if I'm going to do this I'm going to do it 100%.
