Alright, I will poke my head out of my little tiny bubble and do at least some of this year's snowflake challenge.

Hello, my name is jedi_of_urth, but you can call me Tori if you want, I'm not too picky. I've been lurking on the edges of various fandoms for years so some of you might have encountered me before, but no shame if you haven't or have forgotten all about me, I've been even more on the outskirts of late.

Part of that is that I never quite made the leap off livejournal and that has remained where I'm more likely to post if I just have something on my mind. If you poke around my dreamwidth account you'll find it's most my fic journal so far. Maybe one day I'll get around to moving more stuff over; if I have more people I want to interact with here that might be a reason.

But for a while I've been focusing on my side blog tori_reviews where I review TV shows. In 2020 I focused on short run series, and this year is shaping up to be Star War/Marvel heavy; in fact I just posted my preparatory thoughts on Clone Wars, so if you want to come with me on that journey it's a good time to join me. It would be nice if I wasn't always talking into the void...it just hasn't stopped me yet.

(I'm pretty sure I come off as sulky here, but who isn't a little sulky after this last year?)

I'm far from shy about my fandom opinions, so if there's anything you want to know go ahead and ask.

Hi Tori! Last year definitely left its fair share of sulk ;o; Hopefully this year won't be quite so... much. I'm looking forward to living in certain, precedented times lmao

Oh man, I hear you about feeling like you're just talking to the void. I always tend to find myself into stuff no one else really cares about, but I figure it's still fun enthusing about it even if there's no one to enthuse back. Sometimes it's just nice to get those thoughts and feelings out your head for a bit (so you have room for even more thoughts and feelings hehe).

That's pretty much my attitude, yeah. I have things I want to talk about, even if no one is listening; at least if I write them down I remember what I wanted to say if I want to go back to it. Even if my audience is just future-me that's something.

Oh hey, I recognize that pixie sticks icon -- hi! I remember you from westerosorting days -- good to see you're still around LJ/DW!

Somewhere along the line the pixie sticks did become part of my online identity. It's not quite as fitting as it was a decade ago, but it remains my default icon because I wouldn't quite be me if I swapped it out.

Good to see a familiar person out in the wild. House Tyrell represent.

Hi! Dropping in from Snowflake. I'm excited about some Marvel tv this year, too. (I'm looking at you, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.)

So far I'm most excited for WandaVision, and it's soon so that's good. The Falcon and Winter Soldier trailer just didn't grab me quite as much, though I remain optimistic. I know I'll give Loki a chance, and I think it will probably be at least okay, but I'm not fully sold yet. I don't know how I feel about What If... I want to have hope for it, but so far I don't have much.

We'll see if any of them can supplant AoS as my one true love of Marvel TV.
