Okay, now that I have time to make a more thorough post on the topic, you also get the benefit of me having watched this episode with other people, so, more thoughts...

-I like that the title meaning was explained even before the opening credits but on it's own wasn't spoilery, and yet also managed to hold a profound meaning. It's not like RotC which gave away plots or any number of titles that are just kind of there, it was meaningful but...well a road map that we had to go with.

-I was the only one in the group whose thoughts about the Doctor dying in TRB showed just how bad his mental state had been, but I also know the others have probably never looked at that episode with quite as much "Give the Doctor a hug" glasses as I have. But I do think it shows he was perfectly willing to die then, and it hurts to be reminded of that.

-ROSE!! I wasn't the only one shrieking it when she ran up.

-Sarah Jane and her whole crew got killed off, meaning all the kids, that's pretty harsh. I however, did have a slight party because my boy Morganstern survived (seriously I have an irrational love for that character).

-We had a debate over the Master and arrived at the conclusion that he would have died at the end of the universe because the Doctor would never have come there, meaning no Saxon and the Year That Never Was so at least that never happened, the one thing that was avoided (of course since it Never Was it already had been averted).

-Seriously RTD gave a fair amount of thought to how the loss of the Doctor (owing to the loss of Donna that critical day) had ripple effects though out the next years. Things I wouldn't have thought of straight off, like the Adipose being in America make perfect sense.

-I totally called it being Torchwood (okay I just said JACK) saving the day in the Right-Turn!Verse during TSS/TPS, and by then could see why it wouldn't be as bad in Britain then since they were already pretty well screwed over.

-ROSE STROKING THE TARDIS!!!! AND THE TARDIS ANSWERING!! Oh my gods I loved that bit, it was like a fanfic cliche showing Rose and the TARDIS having their own silent communication, but RTD knows his stuff so I squee.

-How could Rose answer *the* question from Donna? It's a loaded question, that I think she's trying not to think about because in this world he's dead and she has to save him, through Donna. And it's just a hard question to answer under the circumstances.

-I was like Donna, I had started to assume that what Rose meant when she said "You'll die" was that this version of Donna would because this reality would never have existed. It made a lot of sense except...Rose's face said otherwise. Not an "I'm sorry" because her world was going to change, it was more than that.

-I think the moment I really sat there and said "Damn, Rose *is* the Doctor now" was when she was all "We don't really know (how it works) we're just guessing." I mean I'd seen it before through out the ep, and even back in season 2, but something about that moment, and then laughing over Donna arguing with herself just screamed "Doctor" to me. She's still Rose, but...yeah she's changed, but I still love her to bits.

-I think we all assumed that Rose's words were her name but then we all basically hyperventilated when they turned out they turned out to be Bad Wolf, there was a lot of "Oh.My.God"ing around the table. I know that I at least had been waiting so anxiously to see the Doctor reaction to having it confirmed that it was Rose (which he totally knew he just wasn't...believing he knew yet) that I was totally smacked with the Bad Wolf revelation. It was AWESOME.

-In conclusion, I love you Rusty, utterly and completely love you for this, why the hell are you leaving me exactly?

Rose stroking the TARDIS was a wondeful moment. Iloved it.

yeah, I thought it was her name aswell, but Bad Wolf is so much better!
and when Rose started with the technobabble, that made her the Doctor for me.

well, the Doctor and Rose never really defined the relationship. I don't think we as human have the right word for what they are, anyway.so it would've taken months just to explain the history, let alone answer the question!
