jedi_of_urthFirst bit of predicting. Here’s my guess for what will fill the two fan voters’ choice slots in each FMM category (vs. what I would have picked). I did do a little looking at what people have voted so far, but by no means a full counting.
Comedy
Prediction: Two of HIMYM, Big Bang Theory and Cougar Town. All have been on the bracket before and it looks like people might miss them with them gone.
Preference: Overall I’d plug Red Dwarf and Futurama (though I also nominated Go On). Out of the ones I predict could gather the votes...I have nothing against Cougar Town but I both BBT and HIMYM got old for me really quickly (and both fandoms are likely to get behind characters I dislike) so whatever. I just wish Red Dwarf could make it.
Teen
Prediction: Harry Potter and Friday Night Lights, HP because it’s HP and FNL because it looks like there’s still a lot of fan love for it.
Preference: I...seem to have already forgotten what I nominated. I know I nominated HP and might have thrown a vote to FNL too because even though I never made it past s2 it was a pretty good show, but I’ve forgotten my third nomination completely (and may be wrong about the second). But if I did vote for those two I ought to be happy they looked to have plenty of other support too.
Sci-Fi/Fantasy
Prediction: Avengers almost certainly, and it probably depends on if people realize BSG is a possibility for the last slot; if so probably that, if not The Hobbit seems to be making a bid (I hope if it is we can include LotR because The Hobbit didn’t have really any characters I straight up loved...maybe Gandalf).
Preference: I nominated Arrow, Avengers, and Journeyquest. So obviously I’m cool with Avengers and I don’t mind BSG still being a contender, I just felt like wasting my vote on JQ instead. Arrow may have an outside chance to make it too. I think I’ll probably be okay with what makes it here though.
Drama
Prediction: The Borgias probably, and maybe Leverage since it was on the ballot last year but not for the moment this time.
Preference: I nominated Bomb Girls (and was happy to see I wasn’t the only one), The Borgias and The Americans because I keep hearing good things about them and want to see what people use to entice more viewers to their fandom. I wish BG had a better chance but I really didn’t have any other thing I was invested in to throw my vote behind.

Date: 2013-03-07 05:09 am (UTC)The Hobbit...for me it's less the ladies issue (not that it's not a factor) and more that if it's Hobbit alone it's had ONE MOVIE, if we at least include LotR there's more options (The Hobbit had like four characters with any distinguishable personality). THG and HP get t include the books so if Middle Earth exists as more than ONE MOVIE we ought to be allowed a larger pool to choose from.
