At least HIMYM fandom managed not to nominate Barney last year but I lack confidence in fandom's ability to pull that off two years in a row. And yeah I've dropped both shows (over a year ago...maybe two now) and don't necessarily look forward to their fandoms showing up again.
The Hobbit...for me it's less the ladies issue (not that it's not a factor) and more that if it's Hobbit alone it's had ONE MOVIE, if we at least include LotR there's more options (The Hobbit had like four characters with any distinguishable personality). THG and HP get t include the books so if Middle Earth exists as more than ONE MOVIE we ought to be allowed a larger pool to choose from.
