In no particular order, some recent TV reactions:

Seriously, could this show get any gayer? Merlin is cementing his role as Gwen's gay BFF and juggling two boyfriends at once, who are also falling fast for each other. Don't get me wrong I still kind of ship Merlin/Gwen and Arthur/Morgana in addition to all angles of Arthur/Merlin/Lancelot (and Gwen/Lancelot while as corny as anything on the show did hit it off) but the OT4 just became a OT5 pretty darn quickly.

Ummm, beyond the hoyay factor, I'm not entirely sure what happened this episode. There was a cheesy monster and some bad CGI. There was lots of pretty, always an important factor. I wish Lancelot had stuck around, it would have been nice for Merlin to have someone in his own age group that knew the truth. And he was a convenient middle level between Merlin and Arthur as far as ability to pal around with both.

The show keeps getting better even if it's best for lots and lots of hoyay and pretty.

I like Carson, always have, missed him when he was dead and partied when he came back but all of a sudden I know I'd trade him in a heartbeat for Daniel; I just love Daniel to unhealthy degrees.

In general it wasn't a bad episode, not one I loved, but not bad. I wish they'd give Teyla something to do this season. And I'm starting to put words to why I prefer Ronon/Keller to Rodney/Keller (even though I respect that the writers are at least in some ways building it like they did here) but I'm still not quite there so we'll leave that for another time. But after the awesomesauceness of last week's episode I just feel a little down about it.

And that's with not really hating Gio as much as usual in this episode. I could see why he was acting the way he was, I just hated his relationship with Betty and his attitude towards her so much last year that now I want to pummel him any time he's on screen (and dear frakking gods am I glad she didn't end up with him last season).

I'm not so much going to miss DJ as I think I'll miss the side of Daniel he brings out. In that I wish we'd gotten a couple more episodes with the sword of Damocles hanging over their heads before the truth about Alexis being DJ's father came out, but as is I kind of fear that aspect is going to get lost in the background for a while.

All in all a pretty good if not great episode.

Awww, Luke. He's so sad about Maria moving away. Even though I hadn't and still don't exactly ship Maria/Luke, he's just so sad about her moving away. Clyde's being a boy about it and not showing he's sad and flirting with the new girl at school, and Sarah Jane's in Doctor Who world where people move on and new neighbors/companions move in. But Maria was the first person Luke ever met, of course his relationship with Rani isn't going to be the same.

I'm not sure about Rani yet, seems cool enough, if a little overly Maria version 2 for now. I will say it seems a much cleaner transition than say the Rose to Martha plotting was, although maybe a little early to judge; if the season ends with someone glowing and floating all bets are off.

I would have liked a reference to the DW finale at some point, to keep us updated on how the world responded to that, or what Maria/Clyde/Rani were doing at that point. Although how Sarah Jane didn't know the Sontarans were behind ATMOS I'm not sure, I seem to recall she still had UNIT contacts last year and that was all about UNIT. Oh and at some point since she traveled with the Doctor Sarah Jane has become insistent on the "Jane" part of her name because everyone always used to just call her Sarah.

I hope we see more of Crissy this season, totally dd hope since last year I always wanted less of her, but now that she knows I wanted to know where she goes from there. And anyone know if we'll get guest spots from Marian and Alan at some point? I doubt I'll be looking for the way any and everything might relate to that return the way I did with Rose, but then again their still on the same planet/in the same universe so there's less need.

I'm loving Merlin - it's full of cheesy, shippy goodness. :)

Hee, Merlin has way too many ships to keep track of! Definitely OT5-ing with you! XD

And the CGI did make me lol. The griffin was brilliant, but the actual swords breaking? Hilarious! XD

And definitely agreeing that Luke is dead sweet with his Maria-angst!
