So a couple of TV points:

1) Today I randomly saw and paid attention to the commercial for the US Life on Mars, and I swear every line they used in the preview was straight out of the original. Seriously, why not just *show* the original, oh wait because it's only 16 episodes total and you want to somehow stretch it into at least one full US season...good luck with that, I *won't* be watching. BBCA is showing the proper version if I feel the need.

2) Project Runway is totally my guilty pleasure show . This pretty much confirmed for me that bitchy Kenley comes out when she's tired/stress/overworked which does something to explain why it wasn't as noticeable in the early part of the season (that and the larger cast). As a person I do kind of feel for her with that, but it doesn't make her fun to watch on an intentionally stressful show. I'll be kind of curious to see what her collection looks like when it's not so much under the gun (or the Gunn because I like puns) as she was during the main part of the season. Several of her designs during the show I wasn't fond of but what we saw of it in this show looked better.

Otherwise, my opinions of the bridal show. I like Jerell's bridesmaid dress, I thought the decorating worked with the colors, his bride's dress though did not work for me. I like Korto's stuff but didn't have a very strong opinion regarding it here. Like I said Kenley's worked better for me than it had the last several weeks. And Leeann remains my pick for the one to win it (although I needed time to think about the bride's dress because it wasn't an instant click with me).

3) Hopefully many political skits on SNL (Thursday SNL, isn't that an oxymoron) tonight. The political arena so deserves it. And thank god for Jon Stewart and pointing out that McCain's points about "I know how to fix this/get bin Ladin/etc." just sound wrong, because dude, if you know these things you don't have to wait until your president to let people know how to achieve them Although he's already demonstrated he can't multitask like that.

Oops. derailing into politics instead of TV, but there's a reason why TDS is so awesome, Jon could be one of my lj friends who's been saying that kind of thing for a while.

4) To end on a TV note, one of these days I should find something to do more pic recaps of, although vidding ideas jelling would also be fine with me.

Word. I'm so not sure how they are going to make a full season, let alone more than one. The idea only worked so well because it was limited. It had proper beginning, middle and end. *sigh* Sometimes I hate what Hollywood does to quality television.

I don't think I'm even going to bother, honestly. Unless I see some rave reviews from my flist, I think I'd rather preserve the original in my mind rather than risk having it torn apart.
