Random theorizing

jedi_of_urthWell I don't often have random theorizing regarding Donna but now I have one, call me crack addled if you like but I'm going to post it anyway.
You know if RTD wanted to (and it's cracky so he might) he could say that there was some backwards repercussions of the Doctor wiping Donna's memory. Who's to say it hasn't muddled her world view for a while?
I know that most of the world believes wrong things regarding the last several alien invasions but Donna *completely* misses it. Not "I was drunk last Christmas and so must everyone else have been because the stories people tell, ha," she just has no clue.
Given what we see in Turn Left, that Donna didn't just forget the things she saw (at least from that point on) so I'm not sure her complete befuddlement in TRB, and that the Doctor is counting on post-JE to keep her and other people's suspicions low, starts to look a little...off. Sure her characterization in TRB wasn't meant to be the exact basis to base her character on since that was just a one episode deal rather than a full companion role, but that doesn't mean it gets a pass.
I'm not sure exactly what this says about Donna or the Doctor but I'm finding it hard to make sense of at the moment.
