a_white_rain asked for my top five Doctor Who episodes, and Torchwood episodes (over here), both of which are going to be difficult but for different reasons, I love Doctor Who just SO MUCH and I’m not actually all that familiar with Torchwood, but let’s see if I can do this. These are completely subject to change depending on mood.
Doctor Who
5. Human Nature/Family of Blood
4. The Runaway Bride
3. Army of Ghosts/Doomsday
2. The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit
1. Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways
Honorable mention to TEC/TDD, TCI, Utopia/TSoD (but not LotTL)
So apparently I like angst (I pretty much do) and seeing the Doctor in pain (I don’t but it sort of comes out). I’d write up why I like these episodes but I think most of them would be because they have awesome writing, awesome character moments, and great acting.
Torchwood
I’m going to confine myself to season 1 of Torchwood, I’m not even caught up on season 2 and haven’t seen any of them more than once so don’t feel qualified to make judgments about any of them.
