Day 14: Couple you liked even though you knew it would end up badly

So I guess I have a few answers to this one.

Ted/Robin (HIMYM), they told us from day 1 that this ship wouldn’t work out, and logically I get why they weren’t right for each other, but I really liked them together.

Guy/Marian (Robin Hood): dear god should it be obvious to anyone this wasn’t going to work out. It should be a forgot conclusion that Robin/Marian will be endgame for any version of Robin Hood, not to mention just the fact that these two would probably kill each other within a week of actually getting together but I loved the G/M story and wanted those crazy (very crazy) kids to work it out. I sure as hell wanted a better ending than we got (though Guy’s s3 story really works for me given the way s2 ended).

Any ship in ASOIAF: one must just accept that none of them are going to end happily and not invest too heavily in shipping and just hope they get a good story until the tragic ends.

Lately kind of Oliver/Felicity on Arrow: it’s not a foregone conclusion they won’t work out, but it seems likely I shouldn’t hold out a ton of hope. And yet they’re what I want.
