Prompt: 6. mother
Fandom, charters/pairings: Babylon 5; Delenn/John, David
Warnings, notes: Post series (pre-SiL), but thanks to timetravel only a spoiler throung mid s3.
In Minbari society children were taught to value family before themselves, so that they could value clan, caste, and race above themselves all their lives. Delenn had learned the same lessons as other Minbari children, learned them so well they were a part of her very being, yet never valued or loved family so highly as she did when David was born.
John and David were her family; and if need be she would damn clan, caste, and culture for her family. They were her life, and John’s arms around her and their son were the borders of her world.

Warnings, notes: Spans series in general terms, no real spoilers though.
The first few months the cameras had been more noticeable. Cameramen getting the feel for moving around the office and office workers had been more careful about knowing if they were being watched.
But eventually, and it wasn’t the same point for everyone, they just stopped noticing. Sometimes sure; but most of the time, people didn’t pay any more attention to the cameras than the office plants.
After so long, they had also stopped thinking about what the cameras had seen. Or the idea that anyone would actually eventually watch what the largely forgotten cameras had seen over the years.

Marian had loved to climb as a child. She had been small, and the only young child in the castle, surrounded by adults or at least those on the verge of maturity; and she’d wanted to stand as tall as them, or go higher still if she could.
After her mother’s death, she liked to think she climbed to try and get closer to her. It helped a little; but mostly, being isolated in the trees helped her find peace. The only person who tried to follow her was Robin when he was in Nottingham, not even Much followed them.

Warnings, notes: Set during 4x18
She could understand Rebekah not rushing out to defend Elena, but the Salvatores not panicking at the idea of Elena and Elijah alone together surprised Katherine. She’d finally proven, to herself and to him, that she could manage him – they were sleeping together on occasion, and he still made her nervous. Where did her boys get the idea they could trust him with their girlfriend?
From Elena of course; maybe she wasn’t so blind that she completely missed Elijah’s treatment of her.
But did they all have to know her junior doppelganger had nothing to fear from the elder Original?

Warnings, notes: No set timeline as it could be during one of their arguments or the new job.
Kate tried so many times to tell him to take a hike, but Castle never left her alone. She hated his questions; she hated his theories; he was a distraction, even if he didn’t keep them from eventually getting work done.
Now it’s more distracting that he isn’t there. She feels more harassed by his absence than she had by his presence in quite a while. It doesn’t stop her from getting work done, but the team feels incomplete now that he isn’t with them.
And yet, in a way, she doesn’t want it to feel okay that he’s gone.

Warnings, notes: set after Farscape s3 and DW s4, just a bit of a meeting I’ve always wanted to see but no one else would ever write for me.
The alcohol was green and plentiful, and Aeryn’s drinking companion as interested in it as she was. Unfortunately he was also rather more interested in talking about why he was at the bar than she was. Surprisingly, although unwelcome, his commentary about his life had a certain similarity to her own.
He’d gone through some kind of ‘metal-crisis’ and ended up with a double of himself (she thought he’d said “more-human” but they were both drunk and she was likely hearing things) who’d run off with the love of his life. Aeryn figured the double would just die on the poor girl.

Warnings, notes: No actual spoilers, just a rare for me bit of fluff
Elijah hated rain, in fact he hated getting wet unless it was by choice. Those who dared tease him at all, tended to tease him that he was more fastidious about his appearance than most women, and they were probably right. If his date was concerned for her appearance on a rainy night she’d best have her own umbrella on hand as he didn’t relinquish control on his.
That was most women; it didn’t take long for Elijah to realize that he loved having Elena tucked under his arm enough that he would elect to share his umbrella with her.

Warnings, notes: AU obviously, slight Castle s5 spoilers; even vaguer ones for general TVD
Alexis had seldom had to work very hard to get a boy’s attention, and she didn’t exactly have to with Jeremy either. She had his attention, and she was pretty sure he felt something between them too, but after the way his life had gone the last few years he was really gun-shy about giving it a shot.
After a particularly awkward dinner, Dad pulled her aside to discuss what was going on. “Don’t push it,” he advised her, looking out at Kate as he did. “I know it’s not easy, but if it’s worth it, it’s worth waiting for.”

Warnings, notes: Set between TA and IM3, anxiety/PTSD symptoms displayed
The panic attacks started just a few days after the battle, at one of the many survival parties that Tony was obligated to attend. Sure he was as glad as anyone that they had survived, but the pressure of dealing with the publicity was suddenly too much.
Tony liked to party, so he kept trying to get out and be with the public, but it kept getting harder to manage. The pressure kept building, and he had to escape earlier each time.
He tried to hide, make excuses for his new anti-social behavior, but he was surrounded by sharp-eyed people.

Warnings, notes: Post series, but ignoring the epilog, though no real spoilers past GoF
Her dress was the same blue it had been the night of the Yule Ball so long ago (it was barely six years but it seemed like lifetimes) and it played out the same in a lot of ways. Dancing with a few guys she knew weren’t trying to hit on her just because she was famous now, fighting with Ron who couldn’t quite accept that she was over them.
But it ended better when she followed Harry out into the gardens, he still might not take sides between her and Ron, but he danced with her under the stars.
