small writing update

Sure I *get* why it’s taking a long time for anyone to want to make art for my scifibigbang story. It’s based on a show a lot of SF/F people look down on (I watch TVD and I look down on it), and even within that it’s a less than usual ship, and part of an ongoing fic series to boot. So I’m trying not to take it too personally that it’s still unclaimed, but...I’m actually on course to finish a big bang for once and I would like to get art for it so I feel a little bad.

I did manage to write a smut chapter that now I can’t decide if it belongs at the end of this story, a stand-alone smut story, or opening the next story. It’s kind of...nearly useless smut which feels kind of weird when the story so far has been plotty and charactery so I’m *still* indecisive about what to do with it.

If it makes you feel any better, my fic still hasn't been claimed either (possibly because it's an anime crossover and of them them has a tiny fandom). And I still don't have a beta lined up. G;ad you hear that you're making progress on the fic, though!

Mine is a fairly large fandom, not as huge as it sometimes seems I know, but an large end I think; except that I'm writing for a ship that isn't one of the main ones making it a smaller niche within the larger fandom.

Crossovers or small fandoms would be bad enough, but crossovers between small fandoms have to be the worst. I've never even heard of your fandoms, but then I don't watch much anime.

I got he draft I sent in up to about 26k, and an okay stopping point. But it doesn't quite feel like the right stopping point, but then neither does the extra chapter I've written so far, so we'll see if I can find a satisfactory end (no matter what I do it's not the end of the series, but there needs to be some closure to this fic I feel).
