FMM prelims and bracket reaction

So in case you really needed to know my opinions on the prelims/nominations and how my bracket is set up here it goes.
A few notes on my bracket:
-I picked Hermione to win, but I picked that last year and was wrong so I well could be again. But I think it being the last year for HP is going to carry a lot of weight.
-I have the Mary Crawley team pushing her all the way to the final two, but I don’t think she can win it.
-I ended up with Britta winning the comedy bracket, even though I wouldn’t have expected that, but in each match she faced I saw her winning it, usually easily against much less powerful competition, occasionally on the strength of Community love.
-There were definitely a few times when my hopes ran up against what I saw as likely to happen, and I dislike those moments; but when I saw two characters/fandoms as having close to even chances I went with my preference as the tie breaker; not exactly scientific, but what is about this?
Prelim reflections:
30 Rock
Not at all surprised by Liz winning, but a little surprised the Jenna lobby put in a string second place showing. Then again both of them are pretty great. Overall: happy.
Bob’s Burgers
No real reaction to the prelim voting, just that I may have to give this show a chance from what I’ve seen.
Community
WHY? I like Britta okay, but while she is an important part of the group dynamic I don’t really like her on her own so I’m not thrilled by her getting the Community nom. I changed my vote to Abed hoping maybe we wouldn’t end up with Britta, but I guess we did. Overall: meh.
Miranda
I was watching some of this last night and while I’m not surprised Miranda wins the nom, I’m a little surprised there isn’t more support for the supporting cast Overall: yeah.
The Office
Oh yes, PAM. I’m not sure I get why there was so much Kelly support, or for Jim after the last few episodes. Or Andy at all these days. Overall: happy with the win, if a little surprised by the vote spread.
Parks & Rec
Of course it’s Leslie, but it does look like the votes were a little more spread out than last year, not sure if that means anything.
Psych
No surprise it was Gus, I ended up voting Shawn but I have no problem with this at all. Overall: basically what I just said.
Nothing to say about: Archer, Ben & Kate, Cougar Town, Don’t trust the B, Girls, Happy Endings, It’s Always Sunny, Mindy Project, New Girl
Avatar
KATARA BABY. I was pretty sure she wouldn’t pull it off a second time, but FMM can sometimes surprise me in a good way. Toch as close second followed by Zuko and Korra is acceptable. Haha, Bolin outdoing Mako; although who the hell voted for Ozai? Overall: satisfied.
Glee
I suppose it’s not a surprise that FMM got behind Santana again, and I can’t comment on what sort of story arc she’s had this year but...I’ve kind of realized I’m not that fond of Santana myself. But I don’t like bullies, and Santana is one. Overall: meh.
Harry Potter
No surprise that fandom got behind Hermione again, more surprised by Luna in second (although maybe not once I think about it). Overall: no problem.
Hunger Games
So it wasn’t *quite* as easily won by Katniss as I had thought, with the supporting cast ( especially Cinna and Rue) getting llarger shares than I expected. But there were a lot of votes on this, so a lot of people cared. Overall: only a little surprised by the others, not the winner.
TVD
I’m okay with Caroline getting the nom, and happy that Bonnie put in such a strong showing this year, and HA that Elijah managed to get more votes than his siblings that are actually on the show, but a) Damon still got too many cotes for my taste, and b) If Elena can put in a descent showing in this season, why couldn’t fandom get behind her in seasons when she actually had a character. Overall: influenced by my TVD apathy
Young Justice
Not surprised Artemis won it, but the rest of the vote spread is...unexpected. Why so many votes for Batgirl? She barely has a character on the show. Certainly has does she beat Jamie who has had so much to do in the story arc? Overall: people are probably voting for the comic versions of these characters rather than the show but Artemis’ win is probably for the show.
No opinion on: Carrie Diaries, FNL, Gossip Girl, My Mad Fat Diary, Pretty Little Liars, Some Girls, Suburgatory, Teen Wolf, Underemployed, Victorious
Avengers
Apparently I underestimated the amount of Black Widow love there would be. I’m not at all upset by that fact, just surprised. Overall: okay.
BSG
I like Kara fine, but I wish BSG fandom would get behind someone else because there are plenty of great characters who are good to love too. Overall: okay but not great.
Beauty and the Beast (2012)
I’m amused by how few people even bothered to vote in this one (I didn’t either), it’s not even going to be fair in the actual competition. Overall: I agree with a comment that how did the mods include this and not Arrow?
Doctor Who
Apparently DW fandom got behind Martha this year. At least it’s RTD era I guess, even if I don’t think I’ll ever be able to call myself a Martha fan. Since we’ve done Martha this year and Donna the year before, any chance that people will get behind Rose next time? Probably not so I have no preemptive loyalty to stand by this. Overall: better than Moff era but not high on my list.
Game of Thrones
Sansa again? Really? And Arya was so close to making it instead. Overall: whatever.
Once Upton a Time
Ruby, really? Red’s fun and all, and she does well when she does get stuff to do, but I don’t see why she’d win. And then Regina above both Emma and Snow? Once fandom, you’re weird. Overall: confused.
Supernatural
Now there’s a surprise.
No opinion on: American Horror Story, Being Human, Fringe, Haven, Misfits, Nikita, True Blood, The Walking Dead, Warehouse 13
Castle
That went well, no real surprise (except maybe Alexis pulling into third place), but satisfying.
Downton Abbey
No surprise there either; domination by the Crawley ladies with Mary the most dominant of all. Expected and satisfactory
Elementary
Surprisingly decisive victory where I expected a war. I don’t watch the show but I know my flist was behind this so good for them.
LBD
The votes were a little more spread out than I expected , but the end result was pretty much what I expected.
Revenge
Way more Nolan votes than I was expecting, but then I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about Nolan as his own character. Still Emily won so I’m not upset, just a little surprised by how it happened.
Sherlock
I...don’t get it. Maybe Sherlock fandom thought they needed to nominate a woman in this environment or maybe I just don’t know enough about the show to see how they can make a Molly campaign but this seems like a weird choice to me.
No opinion on: Breaking Bad, The Good Wife, Homeland, The Hour, House of Cards, Leverage, Luther, Scandal, Shameless, Suits
