4 - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t.
I'm sure I'd be more involved in DW fandom if I could ship Doctor/anyone but Rose. I'm not even saying I wish I shipped Doctor/River, but knowing I will never ship him with anyone else while the show pretends such a thing is possible (without actually dealing with any part of it) means I just...can't.

6 - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom?
It depends on how you define being in a fandom. Because Babylon 5 has been my my model of best show ever since I was 12 years old, so well over half my life at this point. But I've seldom been terribly active in any kind of fandom (I go through phases but while I always love it I'm not always passionately in love with it).

Longest I've managed to maintain a high level of fannishness is probably DW, since I managed to be active in fandom for it for about four years before the love faded into 'I still love it but I'm not all that into it any more.'

13 - Your favorite fanart or fanartist.
I'm not really a fanart person so I really don't have much to suggest. My favorite form of "fanart" is actually vids where it sort of depends on what I'm looking for at any given point.

16 - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).
Um...you do know I have an entire headcanon AU of DW/Stargate crossover right? But let's try and think of something else...and not some long term ones like "Marian didn't die" or "No godsdamn fucking Dalek Cockblock"...or the obvious "TVD s3 finale DID NOT HAPPEN LIKE THAT"...

I have some half baked ideas for TVD/Robin Hood crossover with the Originals in Nottingham during the RH timeframe. But I have no idea what I would do with such an idea aside from just have the character interact with each other. And even then I'm pretty sure the Originals would just start running the show so it looses reason to be a crossover.

25 - A fandom you’re in but have no ships from.
Again, it depends on your definition of "in fandom" and your definition of "shipping." Because I am a compulsive shipper, but sometimes it's just in a "it's sweet but I don't need to think about it" sense as opposed to a "WHY ARE YOU TWO SO PERFECT AND WHY WON'T THE SHOW JUST LET YOU BE HAPPY?" way.

But I can definitely say I don't really ship anyone on Red Dwarf as much as I love the show. Though again, I wouldn't exactly say I'm in fandom for it.

2 - A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind.
Ron/Luna (HP) - I didn't really consider it until it kept showing up as a beta pairing in H/Hr fic, and for a while I just rolled my eyes and went with it as long as it wasn't written too badly. But at some point along the line I realized I actually could see it for myself.

Buffy/Willow (BtVS) - It didn't occur to me, but one of the communities I was in while in Buffy fandom had a guy who was pretty passionate about the ship and he convinced me to consider it. It's still isn't my primary ship for either of them (about third choice for Buffy (who I ship don't ship with any of her canon love interests) and forth for Willow (who I love almost all of her canon love interests)), but I could definitely have been happy with it.

Elena/Elijah TVD) - I hadn't consciously gotten there by the end of s2 (though I'm pretty sure the seeds were there) but between you and some well chosen DG quotes I got it and now...well you know.

17 - A ship you’ve abandoned and why.
Peter/Clarie (heroes) - I did eventually have to let show's TPTB win in killing this ship. I couldn't kill the fact that they had hot inappropriate chemistry, but it could make me not really ship it.

While I haven't quite abandoned it just yet, Elena/Matt (TVD) in on the brink. If they find a way to undo this vamp Elena thing I'll still hold out hope for these two. But if Elena is a vampire I have to let this go, because a) I can't ship vamp-Elena/human or Matt/vampire b) the fact that I held on to them so long was really an extension of my Elena/humanity desire and c) with vamp-Elena I'm going to have nothing holding me back from making E/E my OTP (yes, up to now I've been holding back).

18 - A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships.
I don't think anyone else seriously ships my crossover OTP Rose Tyler/Daniel Jackson (DW/SG1). Oh most people I mention it to who know both characters are like "...you know I can see that" but I don't think anyone else actually *ships* it.

(Also note my Elena/Matt feelings already discussed)

I'm going to have nothing holding me back from making E/E my OTP (yes, up to now I've been holding back).

I feel this is only a matter of time.

Oh, and I agree with you so much on Peter/Claire. They had chemistry, but the familial relationship ruined it.

As is E/E is the pairing I'm most fannish for, released from the question of 'do I think they work long term if Elena doesn't want to be a vampire?' ain't gonna be anything to rival them for the top spot. Aside of course from the show no doubt putting more roadblocks in their way, but OTP is OTP in spite of it.

I don't even know if it was them being related that killed Peter/Claire for me, I think it was more to do with fatigue from the show's decent into mediocrity so I just didn't care any more, especially to try and fight canon to make it work.

(Although I'm still pretty sure there are ways to unrelate them if you want to, Brother's and Sisters did it after all.)
