Feeling herdlike

Since it's the cool meme of the day.
Give me a ship (that I have enough knowledge of) and:
who is the big spoon/little spoon
what is their favorite non-sexual activity
who uses all the hot water in the morning
what they order from take out
what is the most trivial thing they fight over
who does most of the cleaning
what has a season pass in their DVR
who steals the blankets
who leaves their stuff around
who remembers to buy the milk
who remembers anniversaries
who needs more alone time
who decorates the house for holidays

Date: 2012-07-04 05:07 pm (UTC)Guy sees himself as the big spoon, doesn't mean Marian agrees right away. Over time she finds she likes him holding her.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity
Riding. I'd say practicing sword fighting or archery, but that's basically foreplay for them anyway.
who uses all the hot water in the morning
Whoever gets up first.
what they order from take out
Considering they're nobles it's not like they do their own cooking (basically I'm not sure how to treat some of these for historical settings).
what is the most trivial thing they fight over
Considering they can end up fighting over anything if the mood strikes them most of it's actually pretty trivial
who does most of the cleaning
The servants, though Marian does do more than Guy.
what has a season pass in their DVR
)well, I can't say it's impossible in this show...) I don't know why but I think they'd get a kick out of Buffy.
who steals the blankets
Marian steals them, Guy steals them back, Marian threatens to move into her own room, Guy talks her into cuddling instead so there's no issue (plus he always wanted it to end up like that anyway).
who leaves their stuff around
Guy throws things around a bit more willy-nilly than Marian, but Marian doesn't rush to put her stuff away usually either.
who remembers to buy the milk
Marian, Guy just expects someone to take are of it if they're out.
who remembers anniversaries
Guy, totally Guy.
who needs more alone time
Either, both. It takes them both a while to get used to sharing their lives and how joins them (with Marian also having to adjust to the idea that it's Guy that shes doing it with). But once they figure things out they're not exactly joined at the hip (when they're not joined at...other parts) so neither really "needs" it so much anymore.
who decorates the house for holidays
Marian, as lady of the house an because I think she'd *make* it her job.
The memory wipe is a weird one for me, because I actually don't have that many issues with it. It's heartbreaking, but it also fits the story so that it's perfectly beautifully heartbreaking. It MAKES SENSE, as opposed to so many other resolutions in the episode. RTD is usually so much better at making the angst and hurt...transcendent, and the memory wipe is the sort of thing he does right. My issues have more to do with how the rest of the episode treated Donna's character just to make the end even more tragic.
The thing about Cloen/Rose is that it *is* basically a gift to fanfic writers. You have this whole sandbox for them to play in
where Moffat can't touch themand it was definitely going for a happily ever vibewithout the Moff messing hem up, it just fails to present it in a way that convinces me.no subject

Re the memory wipe .... yyyeaaahh, a part of me thinks it's beautifully heartbreaking and another part thinks it's kind of unnecessarily sadistic to both Donna and the audience. :( As for Cloen/Rose ... yeah, what you said.

Date: 2012-07-05 07:56 am (UTC)You just know Marian would be like "our anniversary is sometime next month right?" and Guy's like "It's on the 15th, at 3'oclock in the afternoon. Unless you mean some other anniversary like our first kiss which is..." and proceeds to rattle off every significant date in their history. And can't possible fathom why she doesn't remember them.

Date: 2012-07-05 08:04 am (UTC)Speaking of, may I tempt you with an amazing good G/M fic? So far it's posted only on the RH forum I keep telling you about, as part of our recent ficathon. It's written to a prompt that basically involves rewriting "Do You Love Me" (3x06) for an AU in which Marian is alive and married to Guy. The results were pretty awesome. Voila: Shackled
'Course, that's another invitation to join up. ;) (By the way, the other day was the third anniversary of the RH finale. Link contains amazingly good video that kind of recaps all the awesome things about the show.)
