As I always say "I could save the world but lose you." By that point the Doctor was already a goner, that was just the moment he managed to pull me down to.
My thoughts
I thought Nine/Rose was pretty much perfect as the beginning of their relationship. It was about falling in love, which allowed season 2 to be about them being in love. And I do fully believe we would have gotten that story if the Doctor had still been Nine rather than Ten. Maybe not all the same stories in it, but after a season of the beginning of their relationship the next season would obviously be about the continuance of it.
But when it comes to the Nine/Rose vs Ten/Rose debate I have to say, I really don't separate the relationships, I ship *Doctor*/Rose, not a specific version of it (my issues with JE being a separate debate). The main difference for me was just the phase of their relationship, which I was just glad to see continue, because if you want to convince me the Doctor is the Doctor is the Doctor, the way to do it is with his love for Rose.
What makes me happy about them
The adorable awkwardness of them falling for each other, their growing partnership and trust, and the hand porn.
What makes me sad about them
I would trade Ten/Rose for much of anything, doesn't mean I don't regret the fact that it meant we only got one season of Nine and Nine/Rose. I still sob like a baby at PotW, because its just heartbreaking.
Things done in fanfic that annoy me
Treating Ten like hes stealing Nine's girl. SAME GUY PEOPLE. (this is somewhere between a comment on Nine/Rose and Ten/Rose)
Things I look for in fanfic
Obviously well written and in character. But mainly when it comes to Nine/Rose I look for stuff that fits with canon rather than AUs where Nine survived the Game Station or anything, I loved their story for what it was, I don't really get into fic that messes with that.
My kinks
You know, I don't have a ton of specific kinks for this ship. Just them being totally about each other is enough for me.
Who I’d be comfortable with them ending up with, if not each other
Well there's Jack for either (or both) of them. Then Ten/Rose if you insist on separating the ships. When only considering the season 1 timeframe I wouldn't have really had a problem with Rose/Mickey. But it's really hard to imagine Nine without Rose since we never knew him without her, even with all the outside the ship flirting, it's hard to see him really wanting anyone but her.
My happily ever after for them
Pretty much season 2 without Doomsday. It could have been Nine or Ten, but them being happy and together traveling time and space always with each other's hand to hold.
Who is the big spoon/little spoon
Rose is totally the big spoon. Mostly of the time, sometimes the Doctor likes to be the big spoon, but mostly he just likes her cuddling up with him.
What is their favorite non-sexual activity
Traveling the universe? Saving it? Doing anything and everything as long as it's together.

P.S.: I realized after I posted that I could have asked you about a Once Upon a Time ship (seeing as how you commented on my journal with one). Is there any particular ship(s) you're interested in on the show?

Date: 2012-05-20 04:19 pm (UTC)OUaT I don't have many strong ship feelings. It's a show I enjoy but I don't sped a lot of time thinking about it outside of watching it. And when I do it's more on a overall plot level or an individual character level rather than a ship level. It'll probably be like TVD proved to be (hell, one could argue DW too, and I wouldn't argue); I enjoy it on plot and character levels, but find I need a ship to move me into raving fan, at which point I can also be fannish about the other things, but the shipping component had to get me there; I guess I'm just that kind of fangirl.
