jedi_of_urthSo, if I stay up for it, NaNo starts here in about three hours and I'm letting my mind start gearing up. And here are some thoughts.
-Having come so close to finishing last year may actually be messing with my head this year. Prior to last year I'd never gotten more than half way done with the challenge but this year the only way to do better would be to actually finish and...I don't know that I have it in me this year.
-While I'm feeling better about it than I was a couple days ago this still feels like I'm going to run into a wall barely out of the gate.
-As always, why is this in November? Or was this started by non-Americans and has become a very American dominated thing since then? Because really, with Thanksgiving late in the month right at crunch time...it's not a good combo. Or maybe it is for some people if they are just enjoying the days off, but I always either have to deal with having company around or traveling (either way I'm expected to be sociable) and it makes the month feel even shorter than it is when I consider it.
