Because I feel like I haven't been doing enough memes of late, I', going to start digging through them and bringing them back...at least until I decide not to again.

Doctor/Rose! /obvious

Obvious OTP is obvious.

1. When or if I started shipping them:
Unlike most of my pairings, I know exactly what hooked me with these two: "I could save the world but lose you." I'd been resistant to the ship up until then, but in that moment they became the show to me, and it never stopped.

2. What I think their challenge is:
I'm having a hard time putting words on it (I probably have ranted about it at some point, but I do it less now), but the PTB couldn't make the show *be* about them. They couldn't really *change* the Doctor's life in the end, because the character and show had to return to something like the old status-quo.

I hate the wither and die talk so I prefer to talk about how TPTB just weren't ballsy enough to let these two get an actual happy ending.

3. What makes me happy about them:
Pretty much everything. They are just happiness and awesomeness personified.

4. What makes me sad about them:
Doomsday and Journey's End, separating my precious babies makes me sad.

5. What moment I wish had never happened:
WHY DOES DALEK COCKBLOCK EXIST?!?!?! Every issue I have after that can be blamed on that FUCKING DALEK.

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
I invented a whole AU playground for my willingness to ship Rose with Daniel from Stargate. And yet it's *still* easier for me to ship Rose with other people than the Doctor, Doctor/anyone-but-Rose just doesn't work for me.

7. My happily ever after for them:
The worst part is that, without rewriting time, the show *can't* give me a happily ever after for them anymore. Because as much as I don't like the show for creating Cloen I also don't approve of killing him just to clean up the situation (well...not without more angst which hider the happily ever after idea).

So for me, go back, erase Dalek Cockblock from history, don't create this mess and have them run into each other's arms in TSE and everything ends well from there.
