Notes: Okay, story background, some time after Doomsday Rose becomes aware of the Stargate project and she, Mickey, and Jake make up the first international team with the SGC. SG1 canon until that point is only mildly effected by being set in the Pete’s World universe, and most canon events continue to happen. Covers approximately SG-1 season 3 events.
This is the first in an eventual series of these that will continue the story through the years, I hope to get more soon.

#11 – Name
The Torchwood team was introduced to SG1, since everyone on base knew the flagship team, but only Dr. Jackson actually spent any time talking to them beyond names and pleasantries.

#10 – Ears
Dr. Jackson had stopped by to ask if a new alien language was anything Torchwood had encountered before; Rose had, and as was her habit with Torchwood, simply told him the translation—since then she had so far been able to dodge his questions about why translating alien languages came so easily to her.

#08 – Happiness
Rose was giddy with finally getting to travel off world, and Daniel thought there might finally be someone even more excited than he had been to take that first trip through the Gate.

#47 – Moon
Rose ran and skipped through meadow after they stepped through the Stargate; Mickey and Jake wouldn’t join her excitement, but she had the feeling like Daniel would have if he’d been there.

#40 – Innocence
Obviously it’s only because the Torchwood office is really too small for three people that she finds herself spending so many afternoons working with Daniel—nothing else.

#25 – Devotion
Somehow he doesn’t feel awkward explaining to Rose his determination to find Sha’re; maybe it’s the way his new friend squeezes his hand and tells him not to give up (but then he asks why she looks so sad when she says that and it causes her to turn away).

#49 – Hair
Rose had been in the shower when word came down that they were needed to go rescue SG-1, so her hair was still wet when they stepped though the gate; she hadn’t wanted to waste any time before they left.

#15 – Touch
While a firefight went on seemingly everywhere around him, Daniel kept his back against the wall waiting to see what happened; when he felt a soft hand reach out of the darkness and grab his own; and Rose Tyler’s voice commanded: “Run.”

#37 – Technology
Daniel watched as Rose pleaded with General Hammond not to have the quantum mirror destroyed; her desperation to keep and study the device swayed Daniel’s opinion but not the General’s.

#24 – Taste
She pushed her food around and around her plate, it all tasted like defeat right now anyway, when Daniel sat down next to her; “Looks like you could use a friend.”

#48 – Waves
Only a handful of people in this world know the truth about Rose’s past, but with everything that’s happened she wishes she could tell Daniel the whole truth; but she purses her lips and keeps the secrets that want to pore out of her.

#32 – Confusion
The mystery that is Rose Tyler frustrates Jack, but Daniel doesn’t push her for answers; he has a hunch she wouldn’t give any, but eventually, stopped at a red light in morning traffic after a long night at the base, fatigue lets curiosity get the better of him.

#17 – Tears
Her story may seem impossible, but her tears as she tells it are all too real and he doesn’t doubt her sincerity for a moment, and he’s also pretty sure his own life just got more complicated.

#05 – Potatoes
He didn’t betray Rose’s secrets, but over lunch the next day he tried to convince Jack to lay off the Torchwood team, they weren’t the bad guys in all this.

#06 – Rain
Living on a desert planet, even for only a year, will make a man appreciate the rain in a way he wouldn’t otherwise, fortunately he now seems to have a friend willing to go out dancing in it with him.

#03 – Soft
His hands are quite soft for an archeologist turned explorer she thinks as he hands her a cup of coffee.

#02 – Kiss
Later, neither of them will be able to say who kissed who, but as they leaned in closer and closer to each other neither of them pulled away in spite of all the reasons they should.

#27 – Blood
It’s the first time Rose has been injured off world, and she’s pretty sure Daniel is making more of a fuss about it than her own teammates.

#19 – Wind
Sam walked in on Daniel and Rose bickering over some translation SG-5 had brought back, but she sensed something else in the air between them.

#01 – Comfort
“Daniel, just talk to me,” she pleads as she reaches out a comforting hand to him, but he pulls away, and although he doesn’t tell her to leave she does; after all, she’s been there.

#13 – Death
Sha’re, his wife, is dead, the last thing he wants is to face Rose and the complicated things he feels for her.

#31 – Home
He ignores her at work and doesn’t answer her calls until she’s almost stopped trying, until he finds she left him a note saying that she was needed in London for a while, and he’s suddenly worried she won’t come back.

#41 – Completion
Sure Rose is the one on the other side of an ocean, but it’s Daniel who put a greatest distance between them; Mickey just tells him he’s being a complete git not patching things up with her—Daniel eventually admits to himself that that’s true and promises to make it up to her when she comes back.

#09 – Telephone
They haven’t spoken in weeks, he’s going off to nearly certain death, and all he can do is pour his heart out on her answering machine; he doubts there are too many worse ways to tell someone you love them for the first and likely last time.

#20 – Freedom
After a few weeks, Pete finally asked her, “Rose, I know I said it was your choice, but why are you waiting so long to go back to America?”

#45 – Hell
Against all odds they had returned from Sokar’s Hell world, although considerably worse for wear, but Daniel was given reason to smile when he spotted Rose among the people waiting for them.

#50 – Supernova
Rose held him lightly out of concern for his battered body, but his heart felt ready to explode when she whispered in his ear, “I love you too.”

#04 – Pain
She knows he’s not over the pain of losing Sha’re yet, he couldn’t be, so they’ll take this slow and see what happens.

#07 – Chocolate
Their forks dueled over the last bite of cake until he gave in and then kissed her as she swallowed it so that he could still taste every bit of chocolate in her mouth.

#39 – Smile
“So, good date?” Mickey asked sarcastically, he already knew the answer from the wide smile on Rose’s face.

#34 – Lightning/Thunder
There was a storm brewing between Jack and Rose, Jack’s old guard suspicion about anything British and Rose’s secretiveness about her past could not coexist; Daniel just had to hope that when the storm came they all came threw it.

#30 – Star
Even though they were inside with the curtains drawn, he thought he could see stars in her eyes as they made love fore the first time.

#33 – Fear
The next morning they were both worried the other would think they’d made a mistake.

#42 – Clouds
The long zeppelin flight to London should have been restful, but Daniel stared out at the clouds and wondered what meeting Rose’s family would be like.

#38 – Gift
Kasuf had given Sha’re to Daniel as a gift: a fact he had never been comfortable with; Jackie Tyler’s warning never to hurt her daughter reminded him that if Rose was a gift then had given herself to him, which he liked much better, even if it came with frightening parents.

#35 – Bonds
Rose handed Jackie her TARDIS key, “Keep it safe for me, but I can’t keep holding onto it.”

#26 – Forever
They loved each other, but ‘forever’ was a word neither was ready to use yet.

#14 – Sex
After one too many cracks about sleeping with the enemy Daniel exploded, “I love her Jack, and she’s not going anywhere, deal with it.”

#16 – Weakness
He accused her of being afraid to be fully in their relationship, and she countered that if she was, so was he; and it was too close to the truth for both of them, as they were both afraid of giving their heart to another when it had been so recently broken.

#43 – Sky
When she woke up alone the next morning the sky was a dull grey that matched her mood perfectly.

#28 – Sickness
Nobody else on the entire base can see him but when he enters Rose’s office she looks at him directly, even if she’s still glaring at him over their fight, he feels better knowing she can see him.

#22 – Jealousy
“Care to explain to us how you can see invisible people?” Jack asked angrily; as much as he disliked Rose on the best days, having to go through her to communicate with Daniel had to drive him crazy.

#12 – Sensual
Rose covered Daniel’s body with her own now that he was corporeal again, their fight from a few days ago totally forgotten for the moment.

#46 – Sun
They had planned to have a picnic for lunch, but rubbing sunscreen onto each other’s bodies had turned into more and they abandoned their previous plans.

#23 – Hands
Rose liked holding hands as they walked through the base, but for a while Daniel had been sensitive to the looks they got when they did, these days though he was as likely to reach for her hand as the other way around.

#44 – Heaven
She scans the heavens trying to work out where Daniel is tonight, then she laughs at herself; things sure have changed, not so long ago scanning the distant stars had been all about where the Doctor might be in the other universe.

#18 – Speed
Even Jake and Mickey, who had been supportive of Rose and Daniel’s relationship all along, think moving in together would be moving too fast for them right now.

#29 – Melody
Sometimes the highlight of her day is singing along with the radio and Daniel on the drive to work.

#21 – Life
Five years ago he was a struggling archeologist with some crackpot theories, and she had been a shop girl in another universe; life had taken quite a few turns since then.

#36 – Market
It was far too soon to be thinking about marriage he reminded himself again, as he did nearly every time he passed a jewelry store these days.

Aww, I love it! Even though I haven't finished all of SG-1 S3 yet, everything fits together so nicely. Can't wait to read more!

There's only about half a dozen episodes that play a specific role in the story, so it shouldn't be too spoilery for you. And I'm glad you liked it, and left a review of it. For the fact that this pairing only exists in my head (although I have put int in a couple other people's heads too) I want to show other people why they're so awesome in my head.
