So I took a little break to not just be spammy to you all, but here's anout post on my thoughts regarding the preliminary voting at
f_march_madness
Teen shows
Friday Night Lights:
Not that I've watched this show since season 2, so I actually didn't vote because I didn't feel like I was being fair without more knowledge, but I'm proud of this show's fans for going with Tami, because Tami is pretty awesome.
Glee:
I kind of figured Sue would get it, and I'm mostly okay with that. Sue is the *funniest* character on the show no doubt, but in my opinion isn't the best so I couldn't vote for her myself. But I can live with this decision.
Veronica Mars:
YES, go Veronica. This was another of those where I expected fandom to disappoint me and vote for Logan (who I...only like occasionally) as opposed to Veronica even though she's great. So kudos fandom for not disappointing me on this one.
(Wow, I had forgotten how few of these I voted in, and that's including one I didn't actually vote on)
Dramas
Castle:
Another show I'm seriously behind on, but felt I had seen enough to justify voting for Castle himself, and apparently that's popular opinion on the subject. Not that I would have minded a couple other characters taking it. It's not a show I love a lot, but I do enjoy it.
Gilmore Girls:
I had very little opinion on this. I watched a lot of GG for a while but when I walked away from it, I completely walked away from it. I personally ended up voting for Paris, but it wasn't because I had any strong opinions really. So I'm not surprised Lorelai won, but that's about the extent of my feelings on it.
Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes:
I, like the majority of people it turns out, voted for Sam and I am glad he won. What does disappoint me is how little love Alex got because while I don't love her quite as much as Sam I do pretty thoroughly love her. I'm more disappointed in her not coming in second than I am anything else. Sure rankings after number 1 don't matter but still I'm upset on her behalf.
Wow, not many of those either, if I'd planned ahead I might have stuck on of these on the end of each of the previous posts and kept it more condensed.
Possibly coming up tomorrow: thoughts on the initial match ups, and maybe predictions.
