So, apparently I can't be bothered to work on my BBH fics tonight (which I REALLY need to do at this stage) however this is kind of like writing...well it's at least using the story making part of my brain.

So [livejournal.com profile] silverraven11 wanted me to do Daniel Jackson. The thing with Daniel is I have TONS of head canon regarding him, unfortunately most of it has to do with my Daniel/Rose AU-verse of awesome. So I'm still having to think about Daniel in the canon-verse, I wrote up a bunch of answers regarding Daniel and Rose in that 'verse.

(a) three facts about them from my personal canon/fanon

(Well since the whole thing is personal canon, I’ll narrow it down to three factoids about it in this section.)

-The first time they kissed they both were kind of horrified, but after a lot of stammering around the fact they both know it’s because at the moment “moving on still feels like cheating.” They set their burgeoning romance aside after that, but they both couldn’t help falling in love again, they just acted like it was just friendship for a while longer.

-It took Jack a while to warm up to Rose. He mistrusted her on principle and thought Daniel getting involved with her was a bad idea. But during ‘Window of Opportunity’ they went through a lot together and in the end he accepted her as one of the gang. Given the difference in time streams this shocked a lot of people.

-Jackie insisted on throwing them a huge elaborate wedding, during which time they tried to spend as much time off-world as possible. In the end they were glad she insisted, but they protested a lot during the planning stages.

(b) a reason he/she sucks

They both go through phases where they feel guilty for moving on and can lash out at each other over that guilt. And when it happens they manage to forget that the other goes through the exact same thing.

(c) a reason he/she is awesomecakes

They fall in love over exploring the universe and mutual sympathy. Hearts and minds from the beginning.

(d) five things that never happened to that character and/or

-Rose never gets to go to Atlantis (up until the time of the equivalent of the SGA finale at least, I haven’t planned even that far yet when it comes to SGA).

-Although Rose and Jonas become friends, she never considers him truly one of the “family” (which she is in with). Their friendship is rather separated from her connection to the rest of the group.

(Given Stargate’s tendency to do things involving alternate universes, the rest of these relate to that)

-There can never be a meeting between Rose and another version of Rose because Rose is almost a singular entity in the multi-verse. The rare time there are other versions created it’s because of a time loop or some such, and they are mostly de-created when that time line collapses. It takes everyone a while to realize the fact that while they meet alternate versions of most everybody, no one else has a Rose.

-They never learn what happened to their 2010-verse counterparts. I’ve never fully ironed the plot out but the things I do have in mind are plenty angsty.

-SGC-verse Rose never finds out that dork-verse-Rose was reunited with the Doctor. Which is too bad, because if she knew she could stop worrying that he was alone while she was happy with her new life. But as the author *I* get to know that everybody got a happy ending (except time-loop-Daniel-and-Rose, because she ended up dead and he was stranded in ancient Egypt without her, but we won’t think about that too hard).
----Yes I have over-thought those episodes and how to do them in my universe, but I as much as the causality gives me a headache, I really like coming up with story lines for them. Plus, extra happy endings, I'm a sap like that.

(e) five people that character never fell in love with and why

Given that the answer to this question is basically “everyone in the universe besides each other and the people they loved before” I’m going to do ‘People who were really a pain in the ass when it comes to their relationship.’

-Pete Tyler – thing is *Pete* is happy with Rose being happy, but ‘Pete Tyler -Torchwood director’ causes a lot of problems throughout the story. Rose, having no real attachment to any government in this universe is pulled in different directions by having family and friends that basically all work for secret government organizations that don’t always get along.

-Richard Wolsey – he’s a thorn in the side of everything else, why would you expect his feeling about Daniel/Rose to be any different? He’s the flip side of Pete in Director-mode and without the personal feelings on the subject. It’s just bad for the organization and the country to have this kind of relationship going on.

-Vala – for a while at least, she does eventually kind of get mushy over their relationship, but for a while she’s a pain in the ass for both Daniel and Rose and then it takes even longer for Rose to stop being kind of possessive and insecure around her.

-The Ancients – there’s whole story arcs involved in how they don’t like Rose (having to do with displaced universes and Bad Wolf related things) which needless to say makes it kind of difficult when Daniel goes and ascends and none of his new peeps like his wife.

-Anubis – the bastard makes more BIG trouble for my duo than anyone else, not that he gives a rat’s ass about their relationship they just both individually come to his attention and get messed with because of it.
