Just a few comments on some of the match-ups at ship_manifesto

Ned/Chuck vs. Odo/Kira. This upsets me because I love both pairings, I have to go with Ned/Chuck because they stole my heart more recently, but I have loved Odo/Kira a long time.

Wesley/Gunn vs. Mal/Simon, two slash ships I actually get and they had to go against each other? Hard to choose and I’ll probably keep waffling on it, I won’t really be upset regardless of which goes on.

Scully/Skinner, my guilty pleasure XF ship. Even though I totally love Mulder/Scully this is my second ship on the show. Fortunately I’m not a person who feels bad voting against Logan/Veronica because I never really liked the ship anyway.

Aww, poor Jack/Tosh going against Ten/Rose. As much as I kind of like Jack/Tosh they don’t hold a candle to Doctor/Rose, but I do still feel bad for them.

I do not understand how Lee/Kara is loosing to the Sweeny Todd ship, but then that movie totally disturbed me especially when it came to the interpersonal relastionships.

Gimli/Legolas vs. Fred/George, that’s a weird matchup that I feel like I should vote in since I actually know all the participants but I have only moderate feelings either way, but I’ll probably vote against incest.

Yes I am voting for Artemis/Holly, other people should too, and it will make lycannoir happy.

Luke/Mara vs. Frodo/Sam, I like both of those. I foresee some waffling on this poll.

And in this one

Aww, Han/Leia had to go against the Merlin OT4. Of course my Han/Leia love has dimmed a little over the years as I realized that if I’d watched it later in life they totally would have hit several of my anti ship buttons.

Boo on putting Mickey/Jake against Willow/Oz; but my heart goes with Willow/Oz (of course I also voted for Willow/Tare in one of the other polls, I ship Willow with lots of people), but my Doctor Who loyalty wants to go to Mickey/Jake anyway.

GO NILES/DAPHNE (please), I’m so glad this ship still gets some love, there was a time when they were totally my OTP. That and I’m too much Will/Elizabeth in Pirates to vote for the threesome.

Gods this poll is mean, Clark/Chloe vs. Buffy/Faith, I ship both of those. Well shipped, since I’ve long since abandoned Smallville and haven’t done anything with Buffy in ages. But of the two I was more invested in Clark/Chloe, although I admit Buffy/Faith meats the hitter idea better.

Also Cory/Shawn vs. Worf/Jadzia, I’m not going to feel real bad whichever wins.

And a few more

Kirk/Spock vs. Buffy/Spike, I have little interest in Kirk/Spock but I’m still voting for it because it ISN’T GODDAMN SPUFFY. Yes I still have serious issues with this ship.

Come on Zoe/Wash. Not only am I still not sold on Barney/Robin, but it’s ZOE/WASH.

Hmm, Aladdin/Jasmine vs. Katara/Zuko, commence waffling. Even though I was very much an Aang/Katara shipper, Zuko/Katara is pretty interesting, and either way I’ve spent way more time thinking about Avatar of late than I have 90’s Disney. Let’s just say I won’t really complain however this match ends up.

It has been several years since I watched the show, but I really remember loving the pairing. But sometimes nostalgia doesn't beat out SUPER DUPER CUTE like Ned/Chuck. Now if it had been one of my other pairings from that age say John/Delenn it would be a different story.

I think the reason it plays so awkwardly is that Rene Auberjonois is literally old enough to be Nana Visitor's father. And as we established before, chemistry = super important to me in what pairings I like. (c: Worf/Dax, now that's a DS9 pairing with chemistry!

I haven't watched Pushing Daisies, I'm afraid the cutesyness would annoy me too much. Is it worth checking out?

Well if you're not into cute PD might not be the show for you, because it's VERY cutesy, which I love it for of course. Of course I also think everyone should try the show for partly that reason so...you might want another opinion.
