BSG quick thoughts

jedi_of_urthSince for once I watched BSG on Friday night I can do some quick thoughts
-Ellen's right about one thing, the person that always comes first in Tigh's life is Bill Adama. He's Tigh after all; maybe if he remembered his life before it would be different and he could see get into the Cylon race and it's worries, but that epic 50 year bromance and the human race that he's lived his life among all his known life, that's who he is. Though how sweet was it that Bill totally knew why Tigh wanted to name the kid Liam.
-Seriously who thought there were any circumstances when Tigh would leave Bill and Galactica? Majority rule my ass, he's Saul motherfrakking Tigh, he's going to be that man until the day he dies and SMFT stays with the fleet. Not that I get why Tyrol was voting to go, he's less steadfast in it that Tigh, but I don't think he's real drawn to live with the cylons either (although he is getting squeezed away from his big human connections I guess).
-Ellen's also right that making Tigh choose would tear him apart. Less for Caprica (sorry still not buying that it's love) but for the baby. And losing Ellen tore him apart once already, I really don't think he'd just let her go again so he was just going to get torn to shreds in some direction no matter what. Now, that it's happened, what comes next is anyone's guess. Except that Saul will be on whatever side Bill is on, that bet hasn't wavered in decades.
-As much as I hate to say the words, Gaius is also right (because it's Gauis he's right for all the wrong reasons though); the fleet ain't ready for this. Hell Bill ain't ready for it and some of his best friends are cylons. It hurts him to watch this happen to Galactica because he knows it's too much too soon. Not that he could do anything else, but it's hurting him to see it.
-Give me a cylon looking over the wall of remembrance and admitting that THEY FRAKKING DID IT ALL and maybe I'll feel bad for them, still not though.
-Look, I've never been the biggest Boomer fan but could we stop torturing her for a bit please? I know there's not much more time, but the previews are just setting up for more.
Probably more at some point, or just wait til next week. Verdict in case I don't get back to it, not as good as the last few episodes, mainly because I was doing more eye rolling over the 'oh it must be love' aspect than before. Not buying it, sorry.

As soon as they said they wanted all of them to leave I knew it was never going to happen, because whatever the vote was Tigh wasn't leaving without knocking him out or some drastic measures. At which point no one would want him around.
