So I was *almost* right in my final four, but Watson managed to pull it off so that my all ladies FF didn't happen.

On the plus side (and this would have been anyway so it's not an on the other hand comment) my votes are easy now.

So clockwork_sky and I are starting a new project. I convinced her to watch Babylon 5 for the first time and we're gong to chronicle our journey together through the show over at b5rewatch. Yes I repurposed my own lj community from a couple years ago.

So I have recently found a couple of big bang comms that will give me the chance to finish some works-in-progress for them (and WiPs are something I have plenty of). If anyone is interested sign-ups are still open for:

There's things to be voted on for LAS purposes. I have entries in fanvideo_las, doctor_rose_las, and tvnetwork1_las so those I am particularly interested in you all going and voting on.

Just a general complaint, my muses are doing okay (though barely) at keeping up with these, but my big bang writing muses just won't come back. I need those muses.

Also, I seem to have convinced myself to sign up for some las comms (though one is for vidding), don't really know what I'm thinking but I did it.

Okay, so the story goes something like this, I wanted to transfer some files from one of my external hard drives to my mom's laptop. However I clicked 'safely eject' for the wrong drive but didn't realize it until after I'd unplugged the one I was transferring stuff from. It worked just fine when I plugged it into my mom's computer anyway so I figured it hadn't been a problem.

But then I plug it back into my computer and it keeps telling me "device not recognized" and after trying to get it to work I tried it on my mom's computer again and now it would recognize the drive either. I've tried about every option I've seen when I searched for a solution and nothing has worked.

Yes, yes, I have a degree in computer science, but hardware is so not my thing it's not even funny. So anyone on my f-list who does understand this stuff? Help me out, please.

So, I did a week's worth of fic revival week, I guess that's the duration the name implies. I think I'll call it there and do another one in six months or so. At least that's my going thought. So far I've posted stuff that was either mostly done or at least had a good start (or three posts worth of "start") and I could keep that up for a bit still before I started on stuff that only has a scene or a framework or whatever. It'll keep, it's kept this long.


Current writing update.

I'm still hoping I can get my au_bigbang fic done on time, but I'm going to have to shift up a few gears for the next week to do so. It's Doctor Who and I'll be needing a beta reader if I do get it done so I'm hoping someone on my f-list could be of help with that.

After that I'm going to try and do scifibigbang plus it looks like we'll do another round of bigbanghood this summer/fall so hopefully I can keep the muses around (in the case of BBH it will probably be more of last year's story because my life story of Guy is a long way from done) and as much as I want to one day do my massive AU story, the Guy saga got there first.

Also, sigh-ups are still up for scifibigbang if anyone else cares to join in.


Okay, now back to writing...hopefully.

However, I decided that real life rules for becoming president need not apply so I could vote for some teenagers and British people (because Giles or Rose, I can't not vote for). Although I wish I'd known about it sooner because why exactly Laura Roslin isn't on this list I'm not sure.
