jedi_of_urthI forgot to do this last time it went around, but I'm doing it now because as worn out as I am by the election drama it is making me want to let me thoughts be known I guess.
1. Do you have the guts to answer these questions and re-post as The Controversial Survey?
I guess it turns out I do, I am after all
02. Would you do meth if it was legal?
That's *so* not the reason I don't do meth. I don't even drink I'm so not into mind altering substances.
03. Abortion: for or against it?
Pro-abortion: not exactly, pro-choice: Yes. I doubt I would ever choose to have one but the procedure should be legal and available and safe.
04. Do you think the world would fail if the United States of America had a female president?
No. Plenty of other countries have had female leaders and the world hasn't fallen apart has it?
05. Do you believe the death penalty is right or wrong/moral or immoral?
I have opinions both ways on this one, I think we have to make sure only to use it in extreme and *certain* circumstances if we're going to use it at all.
06. Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?
I think it would probably be a good idea, that way it could be monitored and regulated, it would be safer and we would spend less of our crime hunting time of a largely harmless drug.
07. Are you for or against premarital sex?
I have no problem with it as long as both parties are ready and willing. Waiting isn't a bad idea for sure, but that's up to each individual.
08. Do you believe in G-d?
Not really
09. Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?
YES, there is no reason why everyone shouldn't have the same rights to marry whom they choose and receive what benefits there are from it.
10. Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA?
Yes and no, I think legal immigration is a better idea, and we should be more excepting of immigrants these days
11. A twelve year old girl has a baby, should she keep it?
I wouldn't say she has to, I wouldn't tell her not to either. I wouldn't have told her whether or not to get an abortion in the first place either but I'd make sure she'd thought about her choice whatever she chooses to do, hopefully the the counciling of family and friends she knows and trusts.
12. Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen?
I see no problem with that, or there should be other things that people aren't considered adult enough for until they're 21 (like going to war say).
13. Should the war in Iraq be called off?
Planned withdrawal yes, but we can't just leave tomorrow all at once I know.
14. Assisted suicide is illegal: Do you agree?
I think people with medical conditions so severe that there's no hope for anything but pain and slow agonizing death, or persistent vegetative state, if they've made informed decisions regarding their conditions, I see the place for it.
15. Do you believe in spanking your children?
To a degree. I was spanked occasionally as a child and no harm done, but parents who use it need to be aware of what they're doing so they don't cross the line into abuse.
16. Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars?

principia_coh who pointed out last time this meme went around that that's actually the correct way to dispose of an American flag. Beyond that...probably, they're paying me to so it's not like I'd be making an anti-American sentiment.

I'm voting Obama because I think he will be a better president. If somehow I could vote for the McCain of eight years ago who I think was a principled committed man I'd consider it, although it would still be a choice; these days I don't trust McCain or think he makes wise or principled decisions.

Maybe, although I don't know how much of it will surprise people a lot. I may not talk about my political leaning often, but I don't exactly hide them.
