Certainly not strung up by me as I agree. Square peg, round hole thing too, he just didn't fit as a regular cast member/team member.
You know, I was thinking when I wrote this that at least they'd made the Wolfram and Hart move before Spike joined the cast (and I thought the W&H move was a dumb move) but they probably did know Spike would be joining them so the writers aren't off the hook for that one.
