Of intewrest to maybe someone

I am zeroing in on my 100th post, it only took me a year and a half to get there and largely in the last six months but still, noteworthy, in a couple posts, maybe I'll just post something then saying "This is my 100th post."

I cannot seem to find a lj-layout I really like this is upsetting me, maybe one day I'll spring for a paid account so I don't have to deal with the ads and have other options. Probably not anytime soon though.



UK Office

Well, I'm through the first season and...I'm not that into it. I've heard the second season is better and I hope so because right now it's almost...boring. I thought this was supposed to be really funny and it's not funny to me much at all.

That said, I can kind of see how it would appeal to a different sense of humor. It's not my type of show so much, but I think is could would work for others. Maybe it's partially it being a British thing (though I usually like Brit humor) but also I just don't find uncomfortable social situations funny as a rule, and I'm not attached enough to the characters even to feel bad for them in uncomfortable social situations.

But I think the crux of the issue is right now I just don't care.



Ugly Betty

I really hope they address the fact that obviously Henry really doesn't want to be with Charlie, he just wants to be there for the baby if it's his. Really Henry, I'm pretty sure even if it is your kid you could still be involved with raising it but not be with Charlie.

Before he found out about the cheating and immediately was ready to leave I might have believed he and Charlie had a strong enough foundation that they would stay together as long as it was his child, but as easy as it would have been to walk away, it's probably better for all parties if he just does it now, but be a good dad if he has reason to be, just not married to mom. Not having him even seem to consider his decision beyond baby his -> stay, not -> leave, it seems...kind of weird for the character actually.

Also, Betty, do not hook up with sandwich guy, he's annoying and rude and kind of a jerk. Alright first impressions, maybe he'll grow on me, but it's like West over on Heroes.



Rockies Baseball

The Rockies are kicking butt right now. I haven't been this invested in the team for years because I was a baseball fan as a child and then sort of drifted away from it for the last few years and then came back, kind of by chance late this season just before they started kicking butt.

I really hope they make the World Series, and win it, but even if something happens and they don't I'm glad I was around for the roller coaster ride of late season baseball.



Doctor Who

I need more Doctor Who, the Sarah Jane Adventures is cute and all but it isn't quite feeding my Who addiction enough. I'm not sure Torchwood would be enough either but it would at least have Jack to oggle. There is a shortage of eye-candy on the SJA.

However, I should have a new Doctor Who vid to post soon although it's Doctor/Master, because for some reason that's what my muse thought would be fun. And actually I hope others like it because, for being something I'm not really into I think it's coming out pretty well. However, I'm pretty sure my following vid will be all about Rose and her amazing awesomeness because not having Rose in a vid is disturbing to me.
