I was sitting there with this collection of ideas I wanted to explore and couldn't string them together in a straight fic concept and it took a bit to hit on how to relate them together, but I liked it once I did. Yeah it's a fairly unique angle, and though my longer fic ideas (that never get finished it seems) are always reunion ones, in short form (and so much easier to finish) I tend to go for the jugular on angst and sadness.
