Writing update

jedi_of_urthSo I’ve been doing a lot of writing recently, here let me summarize:
Agents of SHIELD s5: (ends)
Me: Well now I need to write fix-it fic.
Me: (Actually kind of finishes something) I’ll let that sit for a bit before I get on with making it better.
My brain: You know this last bit could really be expanded into a full AoS/Infinity War epic.
Me: (Starts writing epic.)
Brain (about a month ago): Look, I still have other ideas. Trust me, it’s just some small stuff.
Me: (starts writing short bits exploring the May/Ward hookup in s1.)
Brain: Yeah...but what if she did go to Coulson. You know you want to.
Me: (Wants to. Decides to try writing smut.)
Me: (Realizes Brain tricked me into thinking this was a smut fic when it’s really a massive AU.)
Brain: Mwahahaha.
Me: Fine, let’s see where this goes.
Brain: (about a week ago) How about we jump forward a bit.
Me: But we’re not even to episode 9.
Brain: Yeah, but I want to write the carving stuff.
Me: ...there’s something ironic about my brain compelling me to write about the carving era.
Me: (Writes about the carving era). I have no idea (well, some) exactly how we get to this point, especially when my brain won’t let me go back and work on writing the earlier stuff, but I think I hope it works out.
AoS/IW fic: (completely forgotten)
