Thanks, great to hear. I keep meaning to comment on your but haven't gotten around to it.
I am so with you there. She just does not interest me at all. We've had virtually zero development all series for her, now we're supposed to jump for joy now she's gotten her act together? Meh. I'll pass, thanks.
The problem is only heightened by the fact that I care about Jack about 100 times more than I care about Martha. And I think Martha's story would have been well served by the action side of the finale being her, Jack, and Torchwood. She could see that there's more to the Doctor's world than traveling with a hot guy through time and space and Jack could teach her that (along with knowing how rare it is for the Doctor to really *love* his companions). And seeing the TW team and whatever others they bring into it would show her that the Doctor isn't the only one that can save the world but normal people can too. I just don't buy her getting to that point on her own at this point, and I'm way more interested in seeing the Doctor and Jack and the Master (and even Lucy) in the finale rather than her maybe working that out.
I really shouldn't be hating the companion this late in the season should I? But I got here through the course of the season so it's their own fault, at first I just disliked her for being not-Rose, but now I just hate her.
