jedi_of_urthOkay, so I admit I haven’t watched HIMYM in four seasons or so, but I decided to check out the finale. And what I have to say is...
HAHAHAHAHAHA
I have thought from the pilot that the story was clearly all about Ted and Robin, even though they told us in the pilot that she wasn’t the mother.
I always wanted there to be a reason why he started the story with Robin, and the idea that he met Tracy at the wedding kind of worked. And I’m glad that they gave a reason why Ted would have wanted to tell the story in the first place, it being after Tracy’s death covers that. And all through this episode, that scene where Robin says that she probably should have ended up with Ted was lurking in the background to wonder why include it in the finale at this point.
And while I think we should have known Tracy better, and think the sadness of her death is kind of glossed over in the story we got, and the kids were probably way too happy to push him at Robin, I actually really love that in the end they get another chance.
