I think you're allowed to laugh at my pain on this one. Because I knew it would suck and I still tried to read it so I kind of deserve to be laughed at. I'm sure I'll laugh at me too once I'm in a better mood (this book wasn't helping my general 'it's summer and hot out and why hasn't dad fixed my car's AC yet?' anger).
I think the astral wings bit was mentioned, but I may have blocked it out because this book was SO BAD. If I blocked out that bit it's only because there was enough other bad that I had to remember.
The original books were laughably bad, but not offensively awful yeah.
