I, myself, am a fan of Dickens. And beyond getting to 'see' him in his time and element, I thought this episode was definitely lacking. It seemed to be missing something. And yeah, I wish there was more of a 'scientific' explanation to the whole Gwyneth thing. That's one of the things I love about Doctor Who; there's always some sort of 'reasonable' explanation.
