The talking into the void reviews have been the closest I've been to fandom for a while. It does make my opinions fairly untainted by too much exposure to the fandoms at large, but there's also not much input of things I want to address in my own way. Which is partly why the AoS reviews (especially the s7 reactions) were a much bigger deal than a lot of what I did in the last year or so; I had strong opinions about that, I didn't even need fandom to tell me what I ought to react strongly to, I was riled up in a way I often need fandom input to get me to.
Looking over my fic list is also a bit of a reminder that I used to be able to dabble in fandoms instead of being so single focused on one at a time. It might not be the worst idea to try and revive that at least a little.
