The King's Landing stuff in AFFC is still really good, I love Brienne, Sansa, Arya, Cersei, Jaime, and Sam's chapters. But then there's the Iron Islands and Dorne and IT'S SO BORING AND I HATE EVERYONE.
(FYI, Tyrion isn't in AFFC, you'll have to wait for ADWD)
I'm not sure when Dany started bugging me. Looking back I'm sure it started during ASOS, but it didn't loudly bug me until I was actually between books waiting for ADWD with everyone else. Once I had time to stop and think I realized how little I cared about Dany's story. So when it came back in ADWD I was..less than happy. And then I was really less than happy with how it went because Dany really feels like the special snowflake of ASOIAF and it bugs me.
