Trying to write is weird

So I wrote what amounts to the middle scene of a fanfic, but I really can't figure out how to write how we got to that point or what happens after. It's also the sort of fic that will no doubt be completely jossed within a week or two so if I don't post it pretty soon I'll probably never talk myself into it as canon will no doubt b more interesting. And it's not like I'm real sure people would read my stuff to start with, so why post unfinished and unbetaed work just because I wrote it out on a whim?

So...instead I'm just ranting about my hangups about fic writing I guess.
