I am not hopeful at all but I do hope they will prove me wrong. After all I want to enjoy it as much as possible.:)
YES! I just love the way you think. If they only brought the Elijah/Katherine thing for the Elijah/Elena kiss, then it still makes no sense but I feel better about it!:D
