Part of it is I'm still sort of plotting for what Robin's role in the story is going to be at that eventual point where he rejoins the story, I have a *lot* of things set to happened before they meet back up with Robin. But I have a hard time with Robin because...well I just have a hard time getting into his head. It doesn't help that Robin and I finally parted on good terms but (for justifiable reasons) he's going to be a total jackass when he finally shows up.
i either want to move so slowly nothing ever happens or dive right into the action and have no real character development, reasoning, or rationale behind their wacked out actions
Yeah, I could ship ahead to the G/M sexy times of the story, I could even skip the scene laying stuff I've got going on right now, if I was willing to forgo a lot the way I think about stories, which is where everything has to be set up before anything actually happens. But you know that old saying that battle never survives contact with the enemy? That's me and plot, as much as I try and have it all mapped out ahead of time as the plot actually develops it never goes like I expect...but I keep writing set up stuff so and keep expecting the plot to attack.
