The first time I watched SG-1, I watched it from season 1-season... ohhh 8 or so, uninterrupted... with no input whatsoever from fandom. And I didn't even realize sam/jack existed until I got on LJ and saw people shipping them. And i was like... huh?!?! What did I miss?!?!! I had to go back and re-watch while looking for it before I saw any hints of it. It always seemed pretty well hidden to me... there were moments, but yeah, not a huge romantic pairing, imo.
But, I am pretty dense and oblivious sometimes, so who knows. I see it NOW, but only after i went back and looked for it.
