It's definitely unfinished, I always meant for this to be a continuing AU, and I do have the next installment in the works, but...the first two parts are just Elena and Elijah talking (and sexing) which was so much easier to write than plot and other characters that come in from here on.
I love writing my little damaged babies, but while s4 has given me plenty more damage on them it's done a number on my muses...until 4x18 rolled around and my damaged babies were back together and the muses have been coming back bit by bit.
(I did get a couple comments on my lj story post so I didn't feel completely unnoticed, but it's always wonderful to hear nice things about this story/series, I'm glad you've liked it so far and hopefully I'll be able to get the next part sorted out...eventually (trouble is that it's also shaping up to be massive in addition to being more involved).)
