More 5 guestions

a) It's not that I'm ignoring Waters of Mars, in fact judging my the amount of f-list chatter I should probably get to watching it it just took a while to get my hands on it.

b) I finally got around to continuing with the 5-questions answers so thins time from [livejournal.com profile] karenor

1. Do you have a favorite stuffed animal still? Did you ever? If so, what makes it special?
Well I’ve had a lot of favored stuffed animals in my life, many of which I still have...somewhere, yes. But a couple of my most favored are the ones I’ve had since I was born (literally, have pictures on me with them when I was like a week old), means I have lots of sentimental attachment to them.

2. What's something you could eat every day and not tire of?
Hmm, I suspect there’s a lot of things I’d get tired of eventually, which is why my preferred snack foods come in and out of favor though it’s not that I stop liking them, just decide to give something else top spot in the snack order. However, I think I’d take quite a while to truly get tired of cookies.

3. What should everyone see once in their life (anything, a place, a thing, art, anything)?
Interesting question, but I’m not sure I have an answer for it. Largely because there’s a lot of things in the world I haven’t seen so I don’t have a read on if everyone should see it or now. But to give a kind of vague and somewhat meaningless answer, everyone should see some piece of artwork (be it a story in any medium or a physical piece of art) that moves them immensely. Not everyone is a total crybaby over TV shows like I am, but even more stoic people should see some things that provokes an emotional response in them.

4. What's the very best thing about where you live?
Not living in a big city is good for me, that and the lack of humidity.

5. How would you have rewritten the last season of Robin Hood?
Well there’s a variety of things about the season that need work, and my responses cover a range of specificity. I’m also assuming by this question I don’t get to go back and not kill Marian to start with.
-Give Kate better characterization, a reason to be with the gang, some actually developed character traits, etc. I don’t have as much issue with the braid as most people but I’d still get rid of it.
-Not have Robin involved with anyone so soon after Marian’s death, as much as I liked the Robin/Izzy screwed up relationship, I think it would be better if Robin at most was flirty with women that year.
-Better arc out Isabella’s turn to the dark side, I don’t so much have a problem with the fact that it happened but it needed to not cause whiplash *within* episodes where she was on it.
-Remember Allan’s former ties with Guy and Vasey, do more to establish how his character grew from the experience and to add more tension to the scenes involving him with his former allies.
-Either let the 2x12 barn stuff serve to get the Robin-Much dynamic back on track or, if it didn’t work with their other character arcs, spend the season addressing and repairing that friendship.
-Give Tuck better character development and an actual story arc.
-Either have Vasey reappear earlier or not give away that he was still alive, the way they did do it was the exact wrong way imo.
-Not write Guy out of those two episodes. Also, smooth out Guy’s character arc over the season, it was good but a bit spotty.
-Not use Archer to force Guy and Robin into an alliance, either find a better reason or have them working separately at first only to join up later (aka the Nightwatchman-Guy scenario).
-More Prince John.
-Not kill of almost every character I really liked in the finale.

(Okay so it mostly ended up being character related, but that’s no huge surprise).

I think one of us needs to get a tinfoil hat because this is totally what I have been thinking.
