Heroes quick thoughts
Some quick thoughts on the Heroes season premier.
Look Heroes, you have got a LONG way to go before you approach Doctor Who levels of crackiness, no matter how hard you try. Plot "twists" aren't the same thing as the ability to have a man chased by a giant claw machine.
Does Sylar have a previously undisclosed ability to fly/run really fast/time travel? Because really how did he get to and from Claire's place from and to New York? Actually if this is a retroactive attempt to explain the time frame of Sylar and Mohinder's season 1 road trip that will earn you some crack points.
The time frame of this episode made no sense at all, Sylar (already said), Niki (she was in New Orleans a few...hours ago how did she not only get to Washington but have an established position?), Hiro (last we saw him, he was brooding over having buried Adam alive and had no idea of leading a company now...), and well...Sylar really bugs me.
Bruce Boxlietner, huzzah!! Some people flip out over Takai (Sulu) but I'm all for getting my Captain Sheridan on TV again. Now where's my Ivanova?
Peter/Claire actual interaction!! I'm still okay with them I guess. Actually getting more and more feeling like they probably aren't blood related if Sylar is in fact a lost Petrelli sibling, I think Nathan actually isn't one and *is* related to West (who thankfully we didn't see this episode).
For that matter the start with future!Claire and future!Peter was pretty damn shippy.
Grr, still not liking Maya. And Maya/Mohinder is just bad. Also, what happened to say feeling bad having found out that her brother was killed?
So Nathan's spirit guide is a world dominating mobster, I think he'd rather have Six.
Come on Noah, take Claire with you, a Noah and Claire buddy cop plot would be *awesome.*
Overall...that wasn't all that good. I'm glad it's back and I'm not going to walk away yet or anything, but I hope it get's better. Also, could stand to borrow less from The 4400; don't get me wrong I liked The 4400 but Nathan as a Jordan-Kyle hybrid and Mohinder working on*cough*promicin*cough* the power creating drug, the comparisons are pretty obvious.
