Snowflake 2021 #12
Challenge #12
In your own space, resurrect an old meme. Have fun with it! Which is the goofiest meme you can think of? Put on your party hat and be silly!! Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
This is a multi-part treatment of the challenge.
1) I did post several old memes I'm still willing to talk about in challenge #7
--I have a wide range of interests from historical drama to space opera, plenty of comic book TV shows/movies, and the occasional sitcom.
2) The Snowflake challenge post suggested the Which SciFi/Fantasy Character Are You? quiz and I got
This is actually quite appropriate to me as...well it would take a bit to explain.
We were playing a roleplaying game several years ago where we each had a character and that character usually had an alternate persona derived from pop/mostly nerd culture. And my character's avatar was Marcus.
Also, you know, B5 being my favorite show of all time makes me glad I got a character from that as my result.
3) I have decided that in preparation for leaner conversation time come February and the end of Snowflake, I'm going to dip into a different sort of meme
Pick a day of the month of February, any day. Then, give me a topic to talk about in my journal on that date. You can also ask me a question to answer on that day, whatever you prefer.
For a more detailed list of fandoms I feel qualified to talk about
-Classic(ish) series: Agents of SHIELD, AtLA/Korra, Babylon 5, BSG, Buffyverse (as I recall it), Castle, Community, Doctor Who (RTD era), Downton Abbey, Farscape, Firefly, The Good Place, Harry Potter, HIMYM, Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes, MFMM, Mr. Selfridge, The Office, Parks & Rec, Poldark, Robin Hood (2006), Star Trek (but not the new series), Star Wars (but I'm only just getting to the TV shows), Stargate, The X-Files. And probably plenty of others, I'm especially not getting into my limited anime exposure.
-Current(ish) series: Arrowverse, ASOIAF, Bridgerton, MCU, The Umbrella Academy, WandaVision (so far, and upcoming MCU TV). And maybe a few more, I haven't picked up many new shows lately.
